| Presuming appeal unsuccessful, who comes in for Dupree?
You'd assume Havard, Thompson and Mago are in the 17.
Byrne/Cooper/Hill?
I'd like to see us give Harvie Hill that spot to be honest. That lad will let no-one down as he proved in the WCC and I really hope he gets that chance.

| This is the kind of stuff the ref shaggers get their rocks off on. I hope you are all happy.
Next thing you'll all be moaning that no one takes RL seriously, or wondering why people don't tune into watch it.
Absolutely pathetic & yes I'd be saying the same if it was reversed and Wire had a couple missing for the same reason.

To be fair to the RFL. The players new the risk you can’t head butt someone or shoulder charge and expect to get away with it

I think we've had this decision to ponder a couple of times before in this season already and I've never been too fussed either way. They both bring their qualities - obviously Cooper's been in lots of big games but Hill isn't fazed by them either as we saw in the WCC. I think Peet has to pick Walters even though he's still finding his feet as he gives us a bit of flexibility with centre/backrow changes if they are needed.
Thompson will probably play the 80 which will be a big help.

Fine them then.
Why does everyone else have to suffer? £100 min for the coach and a ticket. I want to see two full strength sides go at it.
RFL treats its fans like absolute mugs. Shame most of them all seem to bend over a love it.

Think you’ve been playing some good rugby and like said on the day anything could happen. If it’s won for us it’ll be up the middle, loosing Philbin a big blow. Best of luck.
Eckersley for Kieghran
Hill for Dupree plus we have Walters on bench if needed to do stints
Puts a lot of pressure on eckersley shoulders but in a way he should be safer defensively as he can climb for the high ball

I’m sure if you’d ask few Warrington fans they’ll be happy with Kieghran and Dupree sitting out. Think both players have a previous charges against them

| I don't think either will get off, even if we appeal. Surprised at Dupree's ban as there's a good argument for he was just getting up quickly, although being honest it does look like he means to lead with the head.
That incident was just symptomatic of us losing our heads several times on Saturday. IMO, the way it was reffed played a massive part in it. We're just lucky Jack Smith won't get the final, because that was a terrible, terrible refereeing performance; it was like he was affected by the home crowd!
Onwards and upwards though, and I have a sneaky feeling this will just add fuel to us in the latter part of the week.

| We can’t go down the Saints conspiracy route but what I will say is that I don’t think we kick up any sort of fuss over decisions and it leaves us a bit of a sitting duck. I think both are heavy handed by at least a game but there you go. I’ve said previously I’m happy when any players avoid a ban but you can’t help but look at the Moylan, Hiku and Tai challenges and wonder what this big differences are to warrant such massively different outcomes.

| Keighran been outstanding in defence but his attitude and aggression in that department have cost him in a number of games over the course of his career.
Eckersley is as good a replacement going though and whilst Keighran has been getting better in attack I think ZE is potentially an upgrade if we get in the front foot.
Dupree is a loss because it probably changes the way we play. Dupree has been used as impact along with Mago I’m not sure we have another forward waiting in the background that had the same impact that Dupree does.

I think it's hilarious that oppo fans continually jump to the "won't get banned, the RFL don't ban Wigan players" type posts. Byrne"s 4 games from Good Friday was almost universally condemned as harsh. We had Ellis and Walters banned for similar offences to that of Drinkwater who doesn't even get cited and then 3 matches each, including a final, for these two. Yet the Hiku assault on Field the other week goes completely unpunished with the most ludicrous explanation ever, the Moylan tackle (almost identical to Keighran's) only gets a yellow and yesterday not a single Wire player is even cited.
I'm expecting some backtracking and apologies from all the conspiracy theorists who were quick to post following the game on Saturday, after which I'm off to watch the pig division of the Red Arrows on their annual fly past

Eckersley needs to attack the game and not look at himself as someone who is just filling a gap. He's a great athlete and could be a real threat to Warrington - the difficulty of course is that he only has a few days of prep. Defensively it is a concern - particularly against high quality experienced players like Fitzgibbon and King.

Firstly, I’m not sure we’ve confirmed we are, although I know there were rumours we might but I presumed that was on the basis of us maybe getting him back for the final and that won’t happen but secondly, lodging a single appeal isn’t kicking up a fuss surely? It’s your right to do that if you feel something is adjudicated incorrectly. I’d say kicking up a fuss is moaning in the press, then appealing, then appealing an appeal, then moaning more in the press and then calling conspiracies when things don’t go your way.
We leave that for other clubs.

Its not the first time you've appealed though is it? By the way I've no issues with that, I like the fact that Saints appeal so many even if we seem to have stopped being successful of late!
Peet said that they would appeal if he was banned as part of him apologising to Keighran and that he felt on further review that he had done little wrong.
I even said I thought Dupree would get off so I'm not for throwing the book at anyone who plays for Wigan.
