He needs dropping. Worst player on the pitch and that took some doing today.

He was bloody awful! He seems scared of the bloody ball!

Today he looked like a coward, all 50/50 challenges that came his way he backed out of them. The one on the first half after the Wakefield kick through, he had no intension of going to ground for the ball. And in the second half he let a high ball bounce 5 feet in front of him and didnt want to take it.

He does not deserve the number 1 shirt. If Noble is the coach we think he is, he should drop him now before things get any worse for Mathers (if thats possible).

Its not like its debateable weather he deserves the starting place every week - the ironic cheers when he actually caught a bomb (twice) showed that 14,000 people can see how sh*t he is - so why cant Noble?? Does he have some dodgy pictures of him or something??

As much as I feel sorry for the lad as I love his enthusiasm for the game, he isnt good enough for Wigan RL.

A job description of a full back is to catch an egg shaped ball, or betterly known as a rugby ball.

Unfortunately, He doesnt do this. And its worth noting Amos looks a safe bet under the high ball.

It happended just in front of me, I was amazed he didnt get a red card for it

He really should be in the Reserves (though Josh Veivers should be picked ahead of him for them!)

no he wasn't, he was very good at leeds (granted he was still doing the head shots here & there) but since then he's had 2 serious injuries, and doesn't look the same player. doesn't look like he wants to be at wigan tbh, which is why he only seems half hearted

Right, I have been one of those who has said he needs to be given a chance - to get his confidence back and regain form.

After the friendlies and today, I'm seriously beginning to think he is beyond hope. I really want to see him turn it around and prove the doubters wrong but it just isn't looking like it's going to happen.

He shows all the signs of a player who's had every ounce of confidence knocked out of him. I feel sorry for the lad, coming back from serious injuries isn't easy.

It isn't good for the rest of the team to have a dodgy FB behind them, so I agree that he should be dropped to the reserves or if possible loaned out.

Said it all last year, said it again this year. He is gutless, always has been. Too many excuses have been made for the fact he's a poor player. People need to get their heads out of the sand, he's shat, plain and simple.

Supporting him is one thing, blind optimism is another. I never rated him at Leeds, his defence was crap then. He was a good support player in a good team going forward, nothing more.

richie mathers is brilliant at high tackles and being out of position,i hope he keeps this form up through the rest of the season.
