It seems to be the new fashion among whingeing fans that this sort of thing shouldn't matter if it means a try is ruled out.
It's not difficult, boys - if you want to score tries, don't drop the f*****g ball.
And they wonder why Wiganers laugh at them all.

| At real time they both looked knock-ons. Purdhams was a clear knock on and you could see the quins players new it. The clubb one maybe was a try. But ateotd wigan blew quins off the park in the second half, credit to our lads doin that after weds! Off to enjoy more london lager

So the only consistent thing in your life is your hatred of Wigan.
If that wasn't so pathetic it would be quite insulting - if any of us cared.

| I still stand by that officials ruin a lot of our games, I.e. If that was offside then so was that one and that one. They seem to find penalties for no reason. Look at the State of Origin, the refs let a lot go and it made it a much better game to watch.

| George Riley on 5 live had a rant this morning - says he spoke to the referee after the game with regards the No Trys and for one of them -did not say which- the in goal judge said the try was good but the touch judge who was further away was not sure so that is why it was not given.
If this is the case it raises the following questions
If a ref is unsure who does he take advice from?
Who takes priority with regards the decision -Touch judge or in goal judge?
This is a =#BFBFFFgrey area that needs to be looked at
Seems a bit comical that someone who was upto 40yrds away can say no try when an ingoal judge who was upto 20yrds away says good try.
The only way around it is to have Video refs at all games.

Don't hold your breath on that.
Personally, I think all this outrage about incorrect refereeing decisions at Wigan matches is quite funny. I don't recall anything similar happening when Silverwood mysteriously didn't hear the hooter against Hull KR and allowed Rovers to pinch the game from us, or at any of the other numerous occasions when the wrong was given.
The last time it happened was back in the early 90s, when some folk actually managed to convince themsleves that Wigan were beating everyone purely because the refs favoured them.
Perhaps we should be indirectly flattered?

| I suppose the ref would have to take the advice of 3 judges to make a decision on a try. What an InGoal Judge says is a try, the touch judge may have seen a knock on during the build up.
The equivilent would be to surround the park with camera tracks, and program them to follow the ball... Actually, perhaps that's not such a bad idea....

| Quote ="justarugbyfan"It wouldn't cost much anyway because the VR would be payed instead of IGs so you'd be probably saving money and the decision could be put on the scoreboard.
How is any of that going to cost more?'"
It costs more to have extra cameras at every game. If a game isn't on TV there is only one camera up in the stands to show highlights on Sky and BBC. Not much use to a video ref if they can only review one angle which is from the halfway line. The NRL has a VR at every game but theyhave multiple TV networks broadcasting games live every week like football does here so they have cameras set up at every game like it's a TV broadcast, which a VR can use to properly review incidents from multiple angles. Rugby in this country can't afford tyhat kind of luxury

The one camera would be better than nothing, though. Quite often the highlights, which are usually from just one camera, show up incorrect decisions.

| the standards being going downhill for years, dare i say it.......Stu Cummins was the best we;ve had in superleague, followed closely by Ganson and the guy whos name escapes me, he had a loud voive and kept shouting at the players.
what we need is a ref with the b@lls to get the red card out more often.
we need another "Sergeant Major" Eric Clay...............
