...but im loving the fact that you think hanley is the man for wigan????...mind you he talks a good game like you do!!!. and he did walk into a superleague winning side when he got the saints job, and then got sacked for being too outspoken....so yeah he is the man for wigan!!!
'"
So who in your opinion is responsible for managing the ego's in the dressing room? Who is responsible for team selection, who has a major say in recruitment, who should be held accountable for this?
All issues you raise, and i await your reply with interest.
Regards Hanley i think he is the man as he will instantly command respect from the dressing room, something i do not think Noble or Millward prior to that ever did.
As i said above i await your response to the points raised with interest rather than slating me and not adding anything to the discussion, can you manage that?
The bit in bold shows what little clue you have if you think one of the greatest players the game has seen "talks a good game".

His defence is lacking but going forward he should if used right have a field day with assists.
I would love him to comitt long term to us, over and above Leuleui, but do not think it will happen.
Bailey and Phelps i have to agree with the poster though.'"
Jonh,
My concerns have been well documented re the Timmy Tommy partnership.
I have always thought that they were similar players and if they were going to play together than we would need big, strong, fast players outside them.
Smith was superb last night, his choice of pass ans kick was exquisite. A fit Karl Pryce (Keith Senior, Gary Connolly, Paul Newlove, Inga) type would have had a field day.
The solution maybe to play Sam at 6 , and Tommy at 9 with Riddell.
But where does that leave McIlorum?

On loan/fighting for a spot or at another club. In theory form would dictate, but if it does is another matter.

...good night son!
'"
Shock horror, unable to answer the question.
Who better to appoint than someone with a bigger ego than the lot of them? A dominant figure stamps out ego issues. They come in and take control.
You raised issues that need to be delt with by the coach, and then try to deflect away from your own points that you raised.
I await an answer to who you think should deal with the ego's in the dressing room, who picks the team and who plays a major part in the recruitment of the club? All issues you raise.
I think it is good you are going to bed so you cannot talk yourself into another corner. If you have the nouce to be able to answer the questions raised i look forward to continuing the discussion, i do not think you will though as you cannot.
Night night. The membership badge is in the post by the way.

Friday i will not be attending the game.
To answer the rest of your post i do not really cheer, i applaud good play from both sides, whoever is playing, and i certainly do not boo.
What this has to do with anything i do not know.

Why are my morals in question because i will not be attending on Friday? If i sacrificed my family and work comittments for a rugby match then surely there would be more need to question my morals.
If you have an issue with my stance take it up with reasoned debate and valid debate rather than simply trying to have a pop by attempting to slate me personally.
Will i be watching the game in full on DVD over the weekend that follows the fixture. Yes.

I dont agree with everything that has happed but i do not have control of the RFL their are people put in positions to make decisions and we must all abide by them winging on here will make no difference to the RFL.
As for Nobby well he has made mistakes we all do but he is paid to do a job and he has not done to badly over that last 3 years saved us from relegation and got us to within 80 mins of Old Trafford for the last 2 years thats not that bad is it. We have played 2 games in 2009 its a long season see where we end up at the end of it.
If you think you can do a better job then take up a coaching job within the prop game and see how well you can do.
I know you don't like Nobbys methods but he is the man in charge and until such time your as successful don't knock him back him and the club.

And? Getting a shot at a final because the rules are as they are shows us to be a good side does it? The answer is no it doesn't.
Are you seriously clinging onto the fact we have a play off system that means you can be a poor side and still get in them means.... well what does it mean? I am blow'ed if I know.
Quote I was using the Saints analysis to prove a point. Wigan won the Grand Final in 1998, the year after the coach got sacked. They got to grand finals in 2000 and 2001 and the year after both coaches didn't see out the season - my point is that the club and the fans have been too fickle in the past to get rid and this has de stabilised the club.
'"
Your Saints point doesn't prove anything. Are you seriously telling me you can't see the difference between that Saints side and us?
Quote Granted he has had 2 and a bit years already, during that time the club has changed from top to bottom. Additionally, look at the key positions in the side i.e. 6 and 7 and 9, compare our players with those at Leeds and Saints. Ours is a new partnership for the umpteenth season running theirs are settled and know each other inside out. Get a bit of consistency and the results will come.'"
The team is playing the most boring one dimensional rugby I have ever seen a Wigan side play. It did similar in 2007, it did it in 2008 and it has started 2009 the same way. The buck stops with the coach for this. Other teams have new players and Wakefield had half a team missing. We didn't. Ours may have new players but Noble could not get a virtually first choice side up to beat an injury ravaged side who had never played one game together as a team. How on earth does a new 6, 7 and 9 compare to what Wakefield put out? It doesn't.

| I have seen some people relate the position of Noble to that of Alex Furguson at Man United in the 80's. Regards the ego issue, what did he do whenever and ego in his changing room looked to upset the balance of the team, see Paul Ince. Regardless of how good he was he got rid.
When ego's looked to start getting in the way he took action, see Beckam, Giggs, Scholes and Sharpe.
Our coach seems happy to throw out the excuse to the press players have ego's and agendas, but unable to, or unwilling to do anything about it.
Why is this the case?

in my case with our club would I expect us to to sack John Kear if we have had the same start , no because we don't have the money and he has been the best coach we have had so would be foolish to, as your club are always looking further up the league than us I can understand the disappointment to the start but are you panicking as what coach is available bar for hanley, makes me wonder why he left donny last year

| We play a boring style of rugby but it can be very effective too. I'm a bit happier with Noble after the Hull game to be honest. We played a lot better than we did v Wakefield and the game could have gone either way. We just didn't finish off our opportunities, but I'm confident that we will start doing once the season kicks in. I'm waiting a couple of games before I nail my colours to the mast on this issue, if we get turned over by Cas and Harlequins Noble should probably update his C.V
