How about replace Hansen for Mossop?
McIlorum for Phelps?
Eamon for Pryce?
Gives it a better balance

I'd play Ainscough with Carmont due to Carmont being very experienced and would take Ainscough under his wing, also more chance of being put away by Carmont rather than Goulding.

| Quote ="FekaTheBeast"The fact is that I've managed to make a pretty decent team from players we offloaded to other teams and become a success.'"
No, you've made a very poor team from eleven players we sold to other teams and six (Goulding, O'Loughlin, Fielden, J.Tomkins, S.Tomkins and Hansen) who still play for us.
Quote ="FekaTheBeast"Luke Robinson is better than Leuluai.'"
I disagree, he had the potential to be a great player but has done nothing since he left. If he was as good as Leuluai he'd be chasing Burrow for an England scrum half spot.
Quote ="FekaTheBeast"Oh and forgot about Danny Orr too, he was a class player and he got rid of him.'"
I liked Orr to be honest, but he was replaced by Trent Barrett, a far superior player. I think Smith is a better player too.
Quote ="FekaTheBeast"Also, Danny Tickle, he is far better than Phil Bailey is.'"
Tickle was horrific in his last season for us. Ok he looked a lot better on Friday but we couldn't wait for his form would pick up. Bailey today > Tickle in 2006.
Quote ="FekaTheBeast"And are you saying that you'd rather have mathers or even that usless peice of so and so Roberts at Full-Back?'"
Briscoe is a good player but we hd Radlinski at full back at the time so he had no chance. Roberts isn't useless at all and you wouldn't be saying he was if he was English. Granted Mathers is terrible though, the sooner he's sold to Widnes the better.

| Having had a while to think about it i would like to see the following team.
Richards
Amos
Goulding
Carmont
Ainscough
Smith
TL
Fielden
McIllorum
O'Carroll
Hansen
Locky
Tomkins
Feka
Prescott
Hock
Tomkins
Richards has to start at 1 until Amos gets more games under his belt.
Wing centre partnerships os Roberts and Goulding with Carmont and Aiscough over the otherside enable us to ensure we have an experienced player in either partnership.
Halves pick themselves.
Props. I think we need to ensure that Feka and O'Carroll are not on the pitch at the same time, we need to compliment there style with a more traditional workman like Prop. I think we lose a little of this graft when Feka and O'Carroll are on the pitch at the same time.
McIllorum-even if Riddell is passed "fit" he is clearly not 100%, if it is an ankle injury this is going to hinder the mobility of someone carrying his weight and his stature, ground contact and power transfer to the floor from the body is crucial for an explosive option from dummy half, the ankle is one of the key joints involved in this transfer and needs to be 100%, especially when you consider the strain it is under with his weight. A week off and some good physio and cardio work should see him back and ready to take on Quins somewhere near 100%.
Backrow, Bailey is not worth a spot 100% never mind carrying a knock, Hansen and Locky to second row to take the sting off what will be a half decent Cas pack, Hock to come on for impact. Tomkins to have a free role at 13.
Finally Tomkins on the bench to enable McIllorum to be spelled and allow TL to move to "impact" hooker at around the half hour mark depending on the flow of the game.
Never going to happen but it is something i would like to see.

Fully agree with that.
I expect Coley will be back involved this week and Tomkins or Ainscough will not be in the 17.

Disagree - Can't drop Ainscough or Tomkins for the reasons in Jonh's posts.
I too expect Coley back with Prescott dropping to the bench. Noble-mentality.

Pyrce could feature on Friday, according to Noble. I would much rather see Ainscough however.

A fit-again Pryce would certainly give Noble extra options with Mark Riddell, Cameron Phelps, Phil Bailey and Pat Richards all doubtful for Friday's home date with Castleford Tigers.
It sort of implies it.

That's just the reporter jumping to conclusions.
This is the crucial remark for me
[iNoble added: "We are really excited by what Karl might bring to the team, but we've got to make sure we get him out there for 80 minutes when he gets his first full start.[/i
After seeing him in the preseason games I'm expecting half a dozen games in the reserves before he's even considered for a subs spot in the first team.

Agreed with that, a couple of reserve games would get him back into the swing of things. When does the reserve team season start?

I am really really suprised this has not happened, and truth be told a little concerned as to why it has not happened, the only reasonable excuse is to do with his injury status.

Absolutlely, Ainscough has to start. I'd [ilike[/i to see Pryce play but he has to be sharp, up for the challenge and able to play the full 80.

In the unlikley event Noble picks a team similar to this he desperatly needs to change his tactics. We are so predictable it unture, sometimes it's like watching the kids matches at half time, where the whole team watches on as one player runs it in.
I'd like nothing more than to see a set move from a scrum & some dummy runners. Even having the attacking line with abit of depth would be some sort of improvement.

| I really do hope if Ainscough gets a chance on Friday he has a stormer because the lad looks quality and we're in need of a quality homegrown wingman so that we can leave either Pat or Roberts at fullback on a fulltime basis.
He may not be the biggest heightwise but he's bulky, strong and quick. I can't see the lad letting us down.

I hope he plays and I hope he does well because if he doesn't (do well) that will be it with our coach. I'd love him to make a case for himself not to be dropped.
