Whether we ever in for him I don't know. But I can't say I'm bothered that he's signed for Wire. It's where they'll play him that intrigues me.

Not sure on O'Hara. His stats seem decent but he's done alot of donkey work by the looks of it. I'd rather keep Coley on or promote from within I think.

Lenagan said Carmont was retiring and he's also said both Coley and Deacon are but things change. I'd say out of the 2 Coley looks the safest bet to retire but if top quality replacements aren't available then he may be convinced to stay on.

Gus Gould is supposedly releasing a gang of Panthers, Purtell and Arana Taumata supposedly amongst them.
Whilst they've both had their problems with injury (DVT) and authority respectively, one or both may be worth a punt! Purtell is a solid centre and Taumata has got the x-factor.

I wouldnt want any of the Crusaders players as I dont think they are better than what we already have.

Tommy should stay 9 for me, with McIlorum the second hooker. Finch and someone else in the halves, possibly a new signing or Mellor. If we're looking at players from Crusaders, just to continue the trend of the thread, we should be looking at Michael Witt. I really rate him and I know others do.

As for the centre situation, Adrian Purtell would be worth a shot. From what I've seen of him this year he's been really solid. He's a great quality centre and if we could tempt him over I'm sure he'd perform well, and at 26 we could probably tempt him in to a two or three year deal.

Dont see the fuss over Witt personally. Don't get me wrong he is quite capable on his day, but he is crocked more often than not.

The only two in SL i would seriously consider are Dobson and Duraeu. Dobson would be my no1 choice, mainly because i struggle to spell Dureau's name.

I don't think we should be signing players from Crusaders, we're the reigning Champions with a great work ethic and team spirit, do we want players who play for Crusaders? We should be setting our sights much higher imo, I know it's difficult with the salary cap, but I don't think Witt (or any of the other Crusaders players) is good enough.

Witt can't tackle for peanuts. Good general play kicker but not a lot else to his game from what I've seen of him

Well we certainly don't need a winger but I'm surprised hes been released by a mid table club, a decent player.
