| Despite Lam's positive spin on the game in his post match interview, I'm still convinced we're in big, big trouble unless major changes are made.
Yes there was effort but the physical inferiority was shocking as was the basic errors, penalties and lack of attacking ideas.
I actually would be prepared to have a little charity bet that we will be relegated UNLESS there is a coaching change or some significant player recruitment.

We won’t get relegated, not if Furner stays at Leeds

| Our next four games before Good Friday are vital to get our season kick-started:
Salford A
Catalans H
Cas A
Wakefield A
To be honest I can only see us winning one match (Catalans at home). I believe the league & playoffs have gone. We must do everything we can to secure Super League status, maybe have a decent cup run (but not at the expense of survival).
2019 has gone, plans must be put in place for 2020.

| I’m afraid Lam seems utterly delusional.
He’s happy because training goes well. He sees a defeat as a turning point in the season.
The bloke’s on a different planet.

He's just utterly out of his depth and waiting for the hammer to fall.
Lenegan needs to pull the trigger now.

IL is not a sacking coach. Refused to sack Noble and Wane (despite the fairytale ending there had been many, many calls for him to go).

This
We need to keep our collective knickers on.
The bleating hysterics from some wigan fans is cringe worthy
Our timing was off tonight but I finally saw a glimmer of this improved attack we have been promised
Sacking him would only further destabilise us unless people are suggesting he’s lost the dressing room?
Which after 6 games is comical. He ain’t and deserves more time.

Spot on. I’ve seen enough to know we have some great rugby in us. I always said I won’t judge him until Easter at the earliest. The hysteria on here at times is mind blowingly over the top.

| The Decks are being cleared and I expect a few others to be let go at the end of the year.
I imagine contracts are already being secured.
New coach whether or not Edwards or a similar Mcguire appointment will made.
Lenners will sort it out, have faith.

| This could be a painful season. But I hope it is a 'clear the decks' season allowing Edwards to come in with as clean as slate as possible.
Hopefully with his contacts as status he can bring in talent reforming our club, as currently, it's poop.

the only issue I have with this is that this season must have been seen as a write off then. If thats the case then thats terrible.

| Perhaps I'm reading into it... but the silence from IL during this trying period is defending. If anything it could be unnerving for Lam. IL has always been public about support of his staff...until after Joelgate.
There is no reassurance for weary fans about Edwards...however I can appreciate that, IL might see that as being negative and undermining Lam.
I do think some words of support from IL would be comforting for almost everyone connected at this time.

| Nevermind Lam needs to go the SL is dead
Just watched this weekends dish served from sky sports and have to say it was pretty dire , less than 5k saints v Hud really poor game
wire v Wigan was pretty poor to watch too.
The game is going backwards
No stars/ambassadors.
Needs some massive changes , salary cap needs to be the first thing that needs the chop. As big of a prick he is , we need to let Eddie Hearn take the reigns at the RL headquarters .
Widnes in the late 80's, wigan in the 90's and Saints/Bradford in the early 2000's that was quality rugby ,entertaining and potential to grow. If we had even a top RL player on question of sport these days no one would have a clue who they where , probably not even some RL fans.
the RL have forced growth with catalans and now they want to send them the bill for having some success , one club who did grow and have success they shutdown (Sheffield) .

SOL but only on a temporary basis.
We need someone to steady the ship. someone who understood the SW system and also has the respect of the players.

| Bit of a wild card but what about Danny Ward. Working miracles at London. We look at the young British coaches and both Powell and Chester are proving their credentials with some very attractive rugby. If not I'd take Tony Smith right now. All thst depends on whether Edwards is coming and this needs clarifying as a matter of urgency by the club

If it comes down to it and Edwards isn’t coming and we want a long term coach, I’d be looking at Danny Ward, Ian Watson, Shane Flanagan or that bloke who’s working a day a week in Scottish Rugby Union (doubt there’s any chance of that whilst Lenagan is here though).

None of us know what is happening with SE or anyone else long term, but that's not the problem at the moment. The title of the topic is Lam needs to go fast, I would suggest that it should be retitled Lam needs to go TODAY.
In my opinion he is totally out of his depth and doing serious damage to the team and its confidence the longer he is here, hence my suggestion that SOL takes over as interim player coach until a suitable long term replacement can be found. If this is tosh Mr Magnets that's your opinion and one which you are entitled to voice, though, it would be good to hear how you would propose stop the immediate rot.

It all links in for me because I’m convinced the state of limbo is also having an effect and it’s not just that Lam is a poor coach. We get shot of him and appoint somebody else until the end of the season and that still doesn’t take us out of limbo.

Well NRL coaches are much to blame.
If you had watched how Salford threw the ball about last week maybe your appetite could be replenished with a British coach (SE?)

How would Lockers do any better?? Whatbcoaching credidentials does he have ?!?! Also Lockers should have retired at the end of the season and bowed out on a high . We will just have to make do this year we won't get relegated and need to ride this wave of losses and see what happens
