Lets face it were not going to win anything this season as we cant put sides away and in knock out games that will cost a team. Unless things change and we start putting sides away i really do believe we wont make a final let alone win anything. players needs to realise you have to put sides away or they will come back at you in SL.

The players didn't go 100% on Friday as so many were keen to point out so I don't think we should be using that as an excuse. Hands up we were outplayed second half.

Sometimes there's nothing you can do when the current MOS is cruising to the line and drops it 20 metres out. Then Lockers drops it 3" from putting the ball down, both when we were winning 22-8

Clearly the team was absolutely knackered. We had 4 players backing up to their 1. It showed at the end - along with inept officiating.

It's no coincidence Warrington and Huddersfield dropped points too.

We need to impove, we might be 3rd with a game in hand but we've been generally poor, we played far better last year and were much more consistant.

Next few weeks will be tough, we need a win next week which is looking unlikely

seems the touch judge will have some explaining to do with regards to Chase kick out on the fall. seems he just made it up cause he did not see it.

knackered or not it was the same Wigan performance we have seen all year. we have to stop making excuses for this team, they are not playing well and as another poster has put we are deluded if we think we will win anything this year.

It's time the RFL sort out this International fixture as a stand alone one for next season.
But then again, anything to drag the bigger teams down to the levels of the poorer opposition. (not classing Cas in there, more Salford & Wakey).

The Exiles game can not be used as an excuse for how Wigan have been playing. We haven't played well yet this season. The squad are too dependant on Sam but even when he plays we don't know how to close a game. I really can't see whats changed since last season, Is it Fielden?? Gleeson?? or Piggy??? They are the only 3 changes to the team out of the players who would be playing week in week out from last season.

We're there or there abouts, even if we're not playing well. There's more to come from this team.

Not to mention a rather good organising hooker who we are missing a lot.

Yep just spoke to someone at the game and all be it I don't like using refs as excuses, this one has got no excuse for the error he made. Should have been our ball on their 20 and instead, even though the ball bounced out on the full 1.5m, touch judge said it didn't and gave head and feed to the men in which they scored. Although it was the touch judge's call, how Bentham hasn't had the balls to over rule it is another joke.

we are there or there abouts due to playing the lower teams. this 'more to come from this team' needs to happen now and I cannot see it as we dont have the personnel currently. We are over half the way through the season. cant see it., hope I am wrong.

not being funny ere but wouldnt really class salford as being poor at the moment they recently beat catalan wakefield and now us , cas have been much the same just recently , do agree with the exiles game needs to be played on a weekend of its own or midweek at least both wigan & wire had the majority of players involved in this game so thats possibly half of each team missing game training all week etc etc

The fact of it is too many distractions have cost us this season Gleeson leaving, Maguire leaving, Fieldens injury, Richards missing the start of the season and now a lack of an announcement over the New Coach setup. The last one in particular is fast becoming a disgrace its clear to anyone with eyes that its affecting performances Hoffman in particular its been speculated for weeks now an announcement was due yet it has yet to arrive Friday perhaps has affected us today but there was no excuse for throwing away a 22-4 lead with 3 bombed tries two of which were certainties it didn't affect Tommy by all accounts, at best this season we are looking at winning or getting to the Cup Final, Super League at this stage is too big an ask based on current performances with seemingly a lack of killer instinct but of course winning the Cup means beating Warrington which is looking less likely by the game we rely too heavily on Sam & our pack.
