Just thought it took away from the atmosphere in the East. There was no atmosphere but there should be next week.

You cant have an atmosphere with no away fans. No drum will make any difference to that.

10,000 on at the Crusaders last week, 47 away fans last night. The whole club on and off the field is a complete joke. Sooner they get the idea that its never going to work and concentrate on areas such Cumbria the better the game will be.

I didn't notice it had gone TBH, but the atmosphere was dull. The away stand being empty never helps. You can't help but think if it was a team like Widnes or Leigh the atmosphere (and obviously the attendance) would have been much better.

We play KR on Friday. They generally bring a good away following. I would expect 1500 - 2000 very vocal fans in the north stand on Friday if last year is anything to go by.

Should be a good atmosphere this week. I would expect a 16000 crowd on Friday.

Drums = Awful.

No drums = Good times.

Yeah the Hull KR match should be a brilliant game and should have a much better atmosphere. Hull KR bring a healthy away following and you would expect that a few more Wigan fans might come to the game as well with our good opening performance.

As i mentioned to a mate last night, next friday is when we see the season start. Last night was great for a opening game playing wise, fans wise it was rubbish.

Last nifght was a glorified pre-season friendly. Celtic put up little to no fight and never even looked like scoring for most of the game. Next week against what will probably be fellow playoff contenders should be a better yardstick to how far we've come - it should also have a better atmosphere with HKR bringing hopefully at least 2k with them. Though with it being a Friday night coming all the way from Hull is a big commitment!

We got over 13700 home fans against a team that will do well to finish bottom so we should be looking at 16k next fri

The more drums the better, I say... I think we should start a petition against Binders missus... either that or somebody take over his drums... Seating disperses those vocal supporters.... we need a drum to liven up the east stand... otherwise we will end up like the West stand...

If you don't like it... move your seat... I am a vocal fan and love to roar on the lads but understand that others just like to watch the match without such vocal support. IMO if you dont like it there is always the west stand where you can be near the half way line and it has the benefit of a full view of the scoreboard!!!

IMO- South is for full on... vocal maniacs
East is for those that like both and a side on view
West is for those who just like to watch a the game.

Its not like football were you have no choice... you can choose whichever stand suits your needs.

I've been sitting in that seat since the club moved to that ground, and i'll be f**ked if i'm going to move because either you say so, or because some t!t with a domineering wife has to beat out his frustration on a drum.

I'll be staying right where I am, and continuing my campaign against drums.

Nothing like a bit of age old stubborness!!! Its amazing how pychosymosis kicks in after the age of 40!! even if it means that your experience of the game deminishes!! It is obviously a difficult situation and I don't want to tell you what to do... but if I was you I would move because although you might not like the drum and the atmospere it creates, there is a lot more people who like the fact that it is there.

Its very similiar to me, I used to like going to wigan pier for a night out, then i reaised that the atmosphere wasnt for me, so although it was hard to go elsewhere, i knew I needed to, to get enjoyment out of a night out round wigan. the good thing about the rugby is there are stands and places where you can chosse to sit... in no way am I telling you to move... but in this case it might be wise so that increases you're enjoyment of the match.... and lets other enjoy theirs...

Jack, WarriorSteve is right, we started in the West but moved after the first season, no atmosphere.
The drums get the crowd singing which then creates the atmosphere which hopefully makes the players respond.
Hopefully there is going to be a lot more atmosphere in the East this season and that will include drums, wife permitting , lets not all fall out.
