Just had a look the donation page and can i publicly thank everyone that has donated. I have tried to PM everyone personally to express my thanks but i get the feeling some of the donations have come from this source but your forum name has not been left, so obviously i am not able to PM you.

I am lost for words genuinely so at the response, i find it inspirational and it gives me great strength and confidence that I am going to complete my challenge even if i have to drag myself round in the deep throws of hypothermia.

I sometimes cringe at the expression "rugby league family" I can assure you i will not in the future, the greatest game with the greatest fans.

Unfortunately that is not going to happen, as it is my first (and most likely last!) year of the event i have not earned the right to start anywhere but in the last group. I also do not particularly want to draw too much attention to myself given the nature of my outfit!

Words cannot express what it means to me and the response that has come from the RLFANS community. The CLDF saved my lads life and have given him a fighting chance for a normalish life God willing so, with my Dads contribution, having gone through to £1127-50, is totally unbelievable.

you find its worth the effort and on the day we will all be thinking of you battling the elements,
the way this has gone for you it wouldn't surprise if it keeps rising to £1500

I would just like to say a massive thanks again to everyone who has taken an interest.

Unfortunatly Luke has taken an infection and it back in the specialist liver ward in Leeds, under the care of the CLDF, and while he is recieving treatment it again really hammers home how important it is and what a great organisation they are.

Can i please encourage anyone who is considering or who has ever thought about becoming a donor to go to the link on the first page and get the info and sign up.

Thanks Gateaux, bit bummed out tonight as we are seperated as a family, due to the conditions on the ward, but he is on the mend it seems and as the hour turns towards 12-00, touch wood (and in no way tempting fate) things can only get better from here for 2010.

Raised so far: £1,275.00 and keeps rising slowly, I hope that the bad weather moves for the friendly match and that you can all have a safe journey over, I doubt this weeks game against Fev will be on

Well the Wife hoped we would get £500, I hoped for a thousand but to date the total stands at over the £1500 mark(although the website does not reflect a further £200 that is to be added) much of which has come from the rugby league community, it is mind blowing!

Unfortunately Luke has been in hospital since the 27th December and to be honest it has been a roller coaster of ups and downs and once again everyone caring for him and us as well has been amassing. Which makes me all the more determined to finish this thing regardless of the conditions.

An aside to this is that between work and the hospital I have no time to train and am probably going into this in the worst condition I have been in, in years, so it really is going to be a massive challenge, just in case it temps anyone else to chuck in a few quid or wish to look in to signing up for a donor card.
