| Richards, Roberts, Goulding, Carmont, Ainscough, Smith, Leuluai, Fielden, McIlorum, Coley, O'Loughlin, Hock, J Tomkins.
Feka, Prescott, O'Carroll & S Tomkins.
That's assuming that Bailey nor Riddell are not fit next week and Smith is. I wouldn't pick Phelps even if he was and Coley must realise that Castleford for him is a chance to put a bad match behind him and come up with a good performace. Lockers is more suited to the 2nd row and Joel could do with a start at 13.

Yes he is, he is quicker, can pass better and finish a move. As for defence, both are poor
Quote ="Mother Feka"What does Bailey offer that Hansen, Hock, O'Loughlin, Tomkins, Mossop, Farrell, or Flanagan dont?'"
To compare Mossop, Farrell or Flanagan is silly.
He offers exactly the same as Hansen. Hock & Locky are different kinds of players.

| I think hes going to be reluctant to play Sam Tomkins but IMO I do not see why he cannot play him off the bench at home against a team like Cas. Its ideal for him IMO especially when we are carrying a few knocks.

It all depends if Riddell is injured. McIlorum will probably retain his place.

We will have to agree to disagree with Goulding/Phelps cause i think Gouldings defence has improved alot since 2007. Goulding is an excellent finisher and once he gets over his 'greed' of the ball - which he will, he will learn he is only young, his winger will see more ball also. I remember an Interview with barrett in his first year and he spoke very highly of Goulding.
As for Bailey offers the same as hansen Hansen is miles better in attack - he actually runs onto the ball at speed, makes more tackles and scores more trys.

Phelps, Roberts and Richards all picked up knocks against Hull. If only one is injured I'd bring in Ainscough on the wing, and move Richards to full back if neccessary.
If two are injured I'd bring in Ainscough and Pryce on the wings, and move Richards to full back if neccessary, unless the two injuries are Roberts and Richards, in which case I'd use Ainscough on the wing and Vievers at full back.
If all three are injured I'd have Vievers at full back with Pryce and Ainscough on the wings. That was a bit complicated but I hope it made sense.

Vievers is nowhere near ready for first team rugby.

| I'd go with:
Richards
Roberts
Carmont
Bailey
Ainscough
Smith
Tommy
Fielden
Piggy
Prescott
Hansen
Locky
Tomkins
Subs
Feka
Hock
Eamonn
S. Tomkins
Probably won't happen. Want to see Ainscough given a go. Not a big fan of Goulding or Phelps or Bailey for that matter but think he would give Ainscough some protection.

That's shockingly harsh, Bailey is a very good player.
Phelps although no world beater is still better than the alternatives currently available within on squad.

I dont think Phelps offers anything Ainscough couldnt. Ainscough could offer more in some areas.
What does Bailey offer that Mossop wouldnt? Mossop is miles better in attack and he is solid in defence.
Going even Further, what does Coley offer that Prescott or O'Carroll wouldnt.
What does Mathers offer tha Veivers couldnt?
That list may continue further if we carry on playing as we are.

Exactly - What does this team do for us:
Mathers
Roberts
Phelps
Carmont
Richards
Smith
Leuluai
Fielden
Riddell
Coley
Bailey
Hock
O'Loughlin
Feka
Tomkins (J)
Prescott
McIlorum
That this one couldnt:
Richards
Roberts
Goulding
Carmont
Ainscough
Tomkins (S)
Smith
Fielden
Leuluai
Prescott
Hansen
Tomkins (J)
O'Loughlin
Feka
Hock
McIlorum
O'Carroll
IMO the 2nd team is better and yet we still see players like Bailey, Coley, Phelps and Mathers playing dire every week and we have players like Tomkins, McIlorum, Ainscough, O'Carroll, Mossop, Farrell running riot in the academys every week not being tested, we've got the players there so why dont we use them?

If we have to put a fourth choice fullback in, then I'd play Sam Tomkins there.
