Because they are contracted to be out of KR this year, and the cost of getting another safety certificate would be extortionate.

Have to be out at the end of this season under the agreement with the developer of KR.

There's no way Saints will want to jeopardise that agreement - it's the sort of land that takes a VERY long time to sell on favourable terms, especially in this economy.

These thoughts crossed my mind as well but assuming it isn't true spoils half the fun.

I think we will find out soon enough. IL controls what comes out of the club about player movements (both in and out) pretty tightly but it's much harder for him to do that with overseas signings and with things like Facebook around (didn't Riddell post he was off on there before it was official?).

Once things start hitting the press as definitively as these two "signings" (as opposed to the press posting rumours) it forces his hand.

Hoffman told NRL.com that reports of his impending departure are wrong and insisted he had no intention of leaving Melbourne at the end of the year.

“I’m contracted until the end of 2012 with the Melbourne Storm and that’s what it is as far as I’m concerned,” the former Blues representative said. “I’ve got no plans to go anywhere else.

that report was from the 7th so things have apparently changed sportal are hardly going to say they have signed if they haven't but i'll wait for an official announcement from Wigan before reacting.

yea I know, just knew I had read it somewhere over the last few days, and then we hear about Lima and Hoffman...

I would welcome both signings, both will make a massive impact to the pack for next season, and its great business from IL and MM if it is confirmed.

That's okay. But with 6 league games left I'm still amazed at the transformation of our team Never has a coach made such an impact in the history of sport.
He has also coached the youngsters so well that this strength in depth that you rightly refer to, exists at all.
