Not really problems when they made the new rule up. Personally every Leeds under 19 player will go elsewhere and leave them to die. Lets see if Gary wants to cut costs then.

There's no rush either. The club shop have said they'll refund the difference if you take the voucher in at a later date so for the sake of £4.70 it isn't that big a deal at the moment is it really?

£4-70 isnt a big deal, its the extra trip to claim it.

The club shouldnt promise what they cant deliver.
Its barely 2 weeks off christmas now, and people who bought season tickets as presents are justifyably panicking.

you can however redeem your shirt discount by quoting your client code, although this hasnt been tested yet as far as i know.

Just put the confirmation in your gift envelope as opposed to the season ticket card. Again, hardly the end of the World. If we had a game on boxing day then maybe but we don't play until February FFS

Sorry but you cant, you will need the voucher. As previously stated you can claim the shirt discount with your receipt at a later date, and it will be still be valid when the season starts. So there is not even a need for a separate trip as you will be able to do this at the Club shop on match days.

To be honest I can understand the frustration from parents about not receiving them in time for Christmas as season tickets are sometimes purchased as presents.

Say you spend £26+ for a season ticket for your child which makes up a significant part of the Christmas day budget for that child (lets say £100, so a quarter of it). To say to that child on Christmas morning..."Oh, you have a season ticket on it's way but it won't be for ages yet" wouldn't really cut it with them.

Now, I fully understand that due to unknown (but probably valid) reasons season tickets won't be available till January, so how about this for a solution:-

Every child that has purchased/had purchased for them a season ticket receives a christmas card from the club through the post (if personalised even better!) Inserted inside the christmas card is a paper/cardboard version of their season ticket which explains that their actual season ticket is ordered and on its way. Surely this would satisfy both the kids/parents and allow the club to deliver the season tickets in January having had less grumbles?

We're always being sent duplicated post from the club (x3 season ticket holders in our house) so the cost of the card & postage should be negligable.

The season ticket discount thing is a bit of a farce when it shouldn't be so hard. Make a 2012 Season Ticket count for the whole of 2012, i.e up to end of business on December 31st. Then your 2013 card begins in 2013. Nice and simple isn't it? Actually when does one card to claim a discount cut off and another begin?

You could get discount on your 2013 shirt then without being a ST holder.


With regards to the kids present thing, I would imagine most kids would want to wear their new kit/clothes and play with their new toys as opposed to clutch a season ticket card they can't use til February. Just use the old 'santa forget one you had that many' line when it does arrive.

The discount voucher for the 2012 season tickets ended on Feb 1st, this year they run till April 1st. I understand its abit annoying having to pay in full and then claim the discount at a later date. But you do have plenty of time and you can do it on match days so nobody has to go out of their way, particularly those who dont come into Wigan often.

I know people often ask why we need the voucher, but if we didnt take it you could use it again and again.

I rang yesterday, and was asked if i wanted a confirmation certificate.
It came today and is actually a kind of home made christmas card , bearing seasons greetings, an explaination to the recipient, somewhere to put your name so they know who the gift is off, AND a picture of 4 players (inc her new fav Logan T ) dressed up in suits in a festive pose.
I'm made up with it, and know my daughter will be too.
