transfer fees dont count on the cap, and if anyone believes we only have £20-30 k left on the cap they are gulable to say the least. There is no way on earth IL will reveal in a public forum the real amout of money we have left to spend.

regarding gleeson, would welcome him with open arms, but not at the expense of goulding, who as many have said on here needs ntime and first team games, think a loan spell would do him a power of good

Yup. Dont know the in's and out's but the club is negotiating with SBW. If its this season or not isn't clear. What I have been told is that Smith is looking to go back to Aus after easter and this could give us the chance of brining SBW in this season. Like I say, early days but it is most def on the cards!

It's a lovely thought. But the insurmountable problem with SBW is the money. Okay, he may be peeved with his current club, but surely the rest of the RU world will then be standing in line with massive offers to table.

The only way SBW could come to Wigan would be if he was prepared to take a gigantic pay-cut, and everything he's done in his career so far suggests that this is won't happen.

I'm not saying this is an April Fool's, but let's not kid ourselves. Gleeson might come off. Danny Brough might come off. But SBW is not going to.
