I really do think Wane will put our a strong of a side as possible.

Am I right in thinking cup gate receipts are spilt 50/50? Might be worth, and as gesture of goodwill, to make it 75% in Leigh's favour. That might encourage more Leigh fans to turn up as it will benefit their club more. We need to really maximise the interests of Wigan fans for this game. One way to do this is for Leigh to bring a substantial following.

We need to be careful here. I mean the village of Leigh does have similarities wirh Australia. Oz was created as a place for us to dump our convicts whilst Leigh was a place for Wigan to dump those who were still inter breeding and being born with more heads than they were fingers. Australia shook it off and became a vibrant nation. Leigh, well.........didn't.

Great news for the local economy in Leigh, WISH fm has just reported that hundreds of Leythers are queuing to get their banjo's restrung for the 6 hour wagon ride into Wigan.

Only six hours! You mean they've done away with oxen?

Yes, they've discovered you can eat oxen (a dish of oxen a' la lobbee was featured on food & drink last month), so the wagons will be pulled by mainly mules, domesticated foxes, a cocker spaniel named Bernard, and, in one case, a blind pig that navigates in braille, it should be quite a convoy. Rumours are circulating that parts of the trek are being covered live on the Discovery Channel, narrated by David Attenborough, the remaining parts are to be recorded by BBC's Crimewatch.

As we will be travelling from Bury without sat nav, how much time should we allow for the journey to Wigan? The prof. and I will be travelling by MX5.
