I agree with this to an extent but we have re-signed players under IL. Would releasing Coley and the money freed up from Hock's ban given us enough money to sign the sh*thouse prop everyone knows we need? Obviously we can only speculate but IMO it would have.

If they'd have signed Mcarthy-Scarsbrook, Andy Lynch and Carl Webb i'd have been saying why the hell are we not in for these guys but they've not. They have signed player in positions we don't need to strenghen.

I'm hoping we sign at least one quality player but if we don't because there isn't the right quality available in the position we need to strenghen then i can live with it.

Well, it appears that there are many out there that are quite willing to put up with the mediocre performances served up by the team for a large part of the year, the boring rugby and the ridiculous situation IL has created by not coming out and saying what's happening with Noble's contract.
I've been a Wigan fan for 29 years and will continue to be for years to come. But, i can safely say that this is the first time that i've had the feeling that i can't be bothered and that the club is seriously lacking drive and ambition (l'd say even Warrington have shown more than us in recent years). I certainly don't want to face the prospect of yet another season of treading the water and 60% effort from the players until it's too late...

Oh, and a couple of other things:
Who is recruiting 'new' players - Noble or IL? If IL is going to get rid of Noble then he's probably the one who has been doing all the negotiations - do we really want our owner choosing who should/shouldn't be signed?

I can't believe that IL is waiting to see if Noble gets us to the final or indeed wins it, because there's no chance of that happening. We'll have to play far too many games and, inevitably, we'll run out of steam.

The head coach choses the players. The Chairman / owner has the final say, which IMO is as it should be.
