Checked, and pin badges should be arriving this week. As people know from the last meeting the design was slightly altered due to the badge being too small to add specific detail, the writing will be silver but outlined so that the words stand out and the scarf will be the same.

Seems word has spread to Liverpool of our exploits. A lad has contacted me to say that he makes loads of flags in his spare time and he can do them for less than what we've being paying out elsewhere. He knows how much professional flag makers charge. An example of his work is shown here. Not bad, especially if someone has an idea but doesn't want to shell out £120-£140. I've asked him for a quote on an idea of mine so we'll soon see what he's charging. Get yer thinking caps on.

Fantastic. Your talking half the price of what we have been paying I think. Id estimate that we'll have 40 flags for next season now. After our conversation today on the phone, we have at least 15 ideas between us so with other peoples ideas put to that, the amount of flags we will end up with next year is frightening.

What size are the cheaper flags? I always said I would get one but it became too expensive with me going to Uni.... How much cheaper is it?

Surely at this rate, by the end of the season we will have enough to be put along the South & West Stand...?? Remember the 'This is Wigan' will take up the room of 3/4 flags along the middle of the South and we had already filled up that stand without it last season. That moves 3-4 across to the West, then add the few that have been made since, then add the few that are in progress...can't be that far away!!!

Entirely upto you mate. I reckon that one shown is 12 x 6 but the lad said it's upto you whatever size you want.

Well we dont know the price for definate what this new maker will be offering. It all depends on the detail and amount of lettering on the flag I suppose. Go on Barmy flags and design one, it doesnt take long and it will tell you the price at the end.

It will have to be discussed, personally id like to keep the flags I have paid for in the South, and im sure JimmyBirts will aswell. At this rate the stadium is going to be completely full. Although im not a fan of flags going above the away fans in the north, I think it defeats the object of what we was hoping to turn the South stand into, the original idea was the turn the South into a "kop style" stand. But saying that if we have 40 flags some will obviously have to be dotted about the stadium.

I have a quote of £90 from Barmys after a few emails so I was hoping I could get it cheaper at some point with this fella maybe.

Is there anywhere else flags can go other than on the south and west stand? Clearly there will be many more flags and I know some of you are not a fan of flags going in the North.

If the club allowed us to put the remaining flags (which can't fit along the gantry in the south) on poles then that would be awesome. It would be good to see what rules/regulations LFC management allow for their fans for us to take to a copy to Wigan RLFC-Stadium Management.

Well that has already been discussed with the club and we are on a trial run IF the WCC is at Wigan we will have the large flags on poles (i.e the boston one) and "the wigan way" and a couple of other new designs on 2 sticks, to be held up 10 minutes before kick off (both halves)

Then we will need to place the other 20+ flags somewhere within the stadium somewhere.

Well to be honest I dont think the "WE ARE WIGAN" flag will take up as much as you think, its 40ft i believe which is the same as 4 of our 10ft flags. The HIGGY flag is nakered and can go so thats 10ft free already.

Yeah I suppose.
Cheaper priced flags should see a bit of a boom in purchases before the season starts though.
