Whilst I have to agree with you,its precisely because of some players like Lauaki we are in this position.Its only my opinion but I would like to thank Wigan for taking him off our hands. If he suddenly becomes a revelation at your place I will hold my hands up and admit I was wrong.

Lauaki couldn't lace O'Meley's boots, not without being subbed after all the exertion of lacing the first one anyway

Since arriving over here with a big reputation O'Meley has looked nothing more than an overweight 'plodder', if you believe he has been value for money it's no surprise you've had a couple of seasons of mediocrity.

Well let's just leave it 'til next season and see how O'Meley & Lauaki go head-to-head eh? I know which player I'm happier retaining

Odd comment that, mate. Mark O'Meley has been a terrific signing for us and consistently stood-out. The reason for our mediocrity is lack of talent elsewhere and attitudes like Lauaki's in the team.

That said, If you can get his attitude sorted and play him where his strongest; wide running back-row, then you potentially have a very destructive player joining your ranks.

It might turn out to be good signing but I find it a strange signing. Hull aint give him another deal and Wigan have.

Wigan obviously see potential in him as they give him 3yr deal with option of another year.

It will be interesting to see how he turns out. I wonder if the lack of quality props available as seen you move for a prop that Wigan feel can improve him.

As I said when the rumours started, I'm quietly confident he'll go well at Wigan. Waney won't let him get away with laziness and not using his size intelligently, and God help him when Bitcon gets stuck in to him.

Putting him down or whatever is one thing but saying the signing means we arent interested in winning SL for the next 3 years is ludicrous. Especially ludicrous when it comes from somebody who supports a team like Hull FC who have underachieved forever.

Waste of quota spot IMO. He may do well with you lot, but I doubt it. To get him to play consistently well over 3-4 years would take a lot of 'good coaching' indeed!

He does show some potential, but his problem is his attitude to work, I think. He has some flashes, but then he just goes anonymous more often than not and a lot of it appears to be laziness.

If your coaches can get his aggression back, he could be decent for you. On the other hand, he could be a waste of a spot.

Better in the 2nd row than at prop, imo.
