For to long now i have missed the heart chundering moment when one of our players has a total brain explosion and gifts the opposition easy yards. Having an unfit lump ready to make minimal impact off the bench is somthing we have been lacking now for some time...

As Gareth as already said, i love watching Lauaki. He is 100% entertainment, but for all the wrong reasons. I refuse to beleive that this is nothing short of sheer fabrication by the currant bun.

Now if it was Sam Moa we were looking at, i would be a happy little bunny. He is IMO the most devastating runner of a ball in SL and i would have him here in a shot.

Well based on what Ben Cross was described as on this very thread when first released by Leeds and what he was described as when actually signing by Wigan can I expect "Rumours and Signings v8" to commence with tales of Lauaki the mean, lean, enforcer, impact second-row whose signing will be the coup of a lifetime?

When I have seen him he has occasionally impressed me, the issue i have is that he does not fit into the mould of the type of Prop we should be looking at going forward, while i all for changing ethos Madge if it is given justification, Madge has brought in a style of longer minutes Props. He has a hell of a lot of power but seems to struggle with mobility in defence, this seems to be a major issue with Props who struggle in SL.

Personally I would rather have taken Cross on for a further year than risk Lauaki.

Don't think he's the type of prop we should be looking at, is he hard-working enough in defence and can he do the minutes and hard work that Lima/Coley/Mossop/Prescott (and Fielden when he's fit) put in?

Where exactly do them stats look better than Coleys? Fewer metres, carries and tackles in 2 more appearances. The only ones that are markedly better are tackle busts and missed tackles (though he's completed almost 200 fewer tackles so should have missed less).

Ben Davies seems to have "sorted his future out" according to twitter, won't tell O'Carroll where so you can naturally assume it's not Wigan. Not a big suprise though, he'd have had at least a bit of a look in by now if he was in the long term plans.
