I'll give you an opinion after the Cas game. God knows what category of fan I am but I wasn't there tonight so have no idea how they played compared to last week. What I do know is they lost and losing your two opening games isn't really good enough.

Lets face it boys & girls, we might hear we were out enthused, we disrespected the game, we didn't complete our sets, they where up for it that little bit more, the season isn't won in feb. Blah, Blah, Blah. The fact is to lose to a poor Hull side and a shocking Wakey side, we are in the e. Riddell (injury or not) is e, Phelps has not kicked on at all, & would the real Tim Smith please stand up. We still don't have that plan B when our predictable plan A does wrong.

I don't know if we have the answers at this point in time, I am that depressed it is frightening. This e needs sorting out & quick if we lose 2 cas next week we might be looking at a bad, bad season. We either get S. Tomkins in to see what he can do or we get someone else in because, we are not creating or finishing enough chances and why the fook can't we keep hold of the fooking ball, this is really e, e, e, e!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If he is deemed all washed up as Wigan coach what is the point in keeping him?

Give the job to Wane on a temporary basis.

I don't think we were 'out-enthused' tonight.
The Hull side wasn't poor.
Phelps went off injured after about 20 (30?) minutes. O'Loughlin/Tomkins had to play centre.
Tim Smith was our MOM tonight.

The Hull side is poor, Noble will say "we were out enthused", I am aware that Phelps pulled up after 20+ minutes with what looks like a hamstring, as for Smith he might have been one of our best players but he drifts in and out of the game far too much, Smiths problem is that he is 2 steps ahead of the other losers in the team.

Where there many rumours pre season? Beyond those on here not liking Noble?

We need to give him 10-15 games. It is madness to judge a coach 3 games into a season.

Yes, there seems to be no improvement from last, but I fail to see who we can appoint after 3 games who is available who would change anything, given we don't have a stand off and are a centre short of being anything like.

I've been pro-Noble from day 1, but tonight for the the first time, I walked off the ground wondering if he really is the the man for Wigan. Losing against Cas is not an option now, under any circumstances...

That's probably spot on actually. A decent side would have beaten Hull tonight, unfortunately Wigan aren't a decent side.

Last year you where just lucky (and then finished 11th / below Rovers ouch!!!), this year you beat us we are shocking at the moment & YOU ARE POOR!!!!! & guest what you will finish behind Rovers again.

People are starting to judge him on far more than 15 games. They are starting to judge him on 2007, 2008 [iand [/ithe games we play this season. The fact we have played only two so far is not seen as relevant to the bigger picture of how the team plays under him which by and large is poorly.



Wakefield were short of a lot of first team regulars so I don't think is any excuse and part of the problem is how Noble is dealing with the half backs. It seem obvious to me now that it should be Smith at 7, Tomkins at 6 and TL as a 9.

If it doesn't work, it doesn't work but he would have far more support from the fans if he did that than picked the team as he has done so far. He is part of the problem.

Didn't Riddell play prop at Paramatta towards the end of last year because tbh I woudl have TL & McIllorum at 9, I wouldn't have Riddell anywhere near that poistion until he got proper fit. In fact I think aussie who only join the pre season training in Jan want a good flogging.

I agree, but that is the key word "Part". If he doesn't change things around and get Prescott/Tomkins and such involved and show the bottle to bin Phelps/Coley etc then yes, questions re his future should be asked, but this season with this squad, requires more time imo.

I agree Noble is part of the problem, not THE problem, IL also has a lot to answer for, has he got the player Nobby wanted (i'm guessing no), are Phelps, Coley, Roberts, Riddell, & Mathers really the players to take us forward. Where is Pryce & why can't we keep hold of the ball!!!

It should not though certainly not 10 to 15 games. He doesn't seem to know his best team or how to use what he has got, which is not IMO a new problem with his coaching.

we completed most sets, we didnt loose that much ball, ok riddell hasnt kicked on yet hes in a new team different speeds, give the guy some time for god sake
As for tim smith i think you may have been watching a totally different game, the lad had a cracking game tonight some great attacking kicks ok one or two bad kicks but thats the way it goes, the reason we didnt win is because goulding didnt take his chances, the team played well dont think there was that much wrong, they got the luck of the bounce on a kick which lead to there try.

My comment on Smith relates to his Jaykell & Hide style. But IMO I would keep Smith in the Xiii but play him @ 7, TL @ 9, and get a new 6.

I think he knows what his best team SHOULD be, the problems seem to stem from his reluctance to break from that when as now, it doesnt seem to be/isn't working.
