| Going to be Widnes for me. They're better placed to make a go of it than any other side in my opinion. Although I'd really like to see Barrow given a go.

| Based on away day atmospheres I'd prefer Halifax to come back in. I've missed going there.
I too think it will be Widnes that gets the nod though.

| Widens for Wakefield. Knowing the RFL though they'll probably come up with something daft in the name of expansion like Edinburgh Elves or Norwich Knights.

| For the good of the game and its overall image it has to be Widnes.
Just watching NorthWest news the other night, they had a reporter at the Stobart and a fellow at Barrow's ground and the difference was immense.....Widnes have a decent, modern looking stadium, Barrow's looked like something from the dark ages...
If the RFL are looking to make our sport a marketable product, then there would be little sense in getting rid of Wakefield and their dishevelled Belle Vue ground, just to replace them with Barrow and an even more grotty looking ground.

| I think the RFL only announce the club entering SL from 2012 next Thursday. No mention to be made then of who will get relegated.
It has to be Widnes surely?
They have a great ground, good coaching staff, a youth system that's really working and a business plan that's showing itself as a success with top name sponsors.
It will give us a good balance of clubs then east and west of the Pennines.
This side, Wigan, Salford, St Helens, Warrington, Crusaders and Widnes.
Other side, Huddersfield, Bradford, Leeds, Castleford, (Wakefield) Hull FC and Hull KR.
Then Quins and Catalans are the out of area expansion clubs.
It will be Widnes!

That's Lancashire.

Thats why i put the in. Because it's absurd to say wigan isnt lancashire. To my grandad warrington will always be lancashire, as would widnes to older generation widnesians, barovians and most wiganers.

If your guys had done what they should have and been eligible i still think theyd have gone for widnes due to history etc. Shame you didnt qualify and then them deciding to kick two out. Who else can be kicked out now though really? Cas have new ground coming as do salford. Quins are playing better (wire game aside) crusaders will never be dumped by the rfl until they go completely bust and nor will catalans. Maybe they should just make it 16 teams and bring two up.

We wouldn't have been up to scratch off-field anyway as a lot of departments seem to have gone backwards since leaving Hilton Park, though the community department are doing some sterling work. Think Wakefield for the chop this summer and then the drawbridge will be raised.

| I'd just love it if it was Barrow. I know Widnes feel hard done by because of they didn't get in last time and it is being judged by several different factors but I don't think Widnes have performed as well as Barrow over the last few years and to me that is what is important. There seems to be a certain arrogance about Widnes.

Widnes are fully aware that they're getting promoted so I almost get the impression that they';re not bothering building a team for the Championship, and why should they? Most of the players they've currently got will stay in the Championship and probably end up at Leigh, Halifax, Barrow, Wakefield*... and they'll get the better ones from Wakey, a few out of contract from other SL clubs and a few from Aus/NZ.
[size=85*Assuming Wakey are the relegated team.[/size

Completely agree apart from the bit in bold....why would we want the cast offs from a team we've just put fifty past?!
