From what i have been told he wants practically the same wage as he was on and Us signing Ennis depends on his wage. I don't think he will be badly missed and is easily replacable IMO don't get me wrong I know hes been solid for the past few years and his defence is awsome but I personally think It will never come back to bite us on the ar$e.

i can see where your coming from in the choice of having ennis or fielden, is this something you know for sure or just another rumour about ennis ? There have been a couple of posters saying they have heard we are signing Ennis at the moment

From what i have been told from 2 people now is Fielden has been offered a deal at Wigan and its now down to him and his Manager.

Just Carmont, Richards, Tommy, Hoffman, Lima, Finch, Hansen and maybe Roberts left then. Why not throw Ennis in too, plenty of room.

with the 5 overseas leaving, and with us potentially bringing 4 in, that still leaves a gap open for a youngster to fill, i also dont believe we have any youngster that are ready to fill the positions that we have filled with overseas signings

The only position that i believe we have a youngster capable of filling next season is second row, although we do have good prospects in the other positions, i dont think they are ready for super league

I really don't want him to leave, i think he's improving so much this year and we miss him a lot when he's not on, especially in defence. I'd be gutted if he left not only because of that but he seems really passionate about it and playing for us, at hte end of a win he allways seems the happiest and doesn't half beat himself up after doing something wrong.

But what is his overall point??? We are within the rules and IL's stated aim was to have a Wigan team predominately from Wigan supplemented by quaility imports... Looks like thats what he is creating. Nice of him/her to worry about us though... thank you...

Saints clearly put us to shame so far as reliance on overseas players goes. After all, Gidley, Soliola, Meli, Puletua, Flannery, Fa'asavalu and Josh Perry all speak with broad Scouse accents, right?

Perry doesn't even play for us yet, and when he does Gidley and Maurie minimum won't be on that list.

9 v 6 or 8 v 5 this season depending on whether you want to include Hansen/Maurie. Wigan have 50%/60% more foreigners than Saints whichever way you cut the cake.
