I would just like to discuss Wigan issues with Wigan fans. It seems that is not possible anymore.

An apposite post from an apposite poster - you're not shy of getting stuck into the Saints fans over on their board from time to time, and yet they seem to harbour a soft spot for you nontheless.

"Wire on tour"...on the Wigan board it would appear...

These boards are part of a network. Thats what RLFans has been for the past ten years I've been on here. Some people like it that way, others don't but there are other choices out there.

These Wire fans have come on here to gloat. Fair play to them I say, many Wigan fans would be doing the same had we won the cup semi.

I could shut them up easily if I wished but I take it as a compliment to the stature of our proud club every time someone comes on our board to gloat.

If any step too far I'm sure our mods will pick up on that.

You'll probably find that most of the posts by fans from other clubs are a retaliation for something similar.

If you have a genuine point to discuss about your team or club then most other fans from other clubs wont be interested.

Unfortunately, that isn't what RLFans is about though.

I do sympathise slightly, in that I come on these boards to have some decent RL chat, whether that is on the Wire board, or other decent boards like this one.

Unfortunately, you will always get fans from every club who just want to come on and troll, and not add to any discussion. Banter is always part of the fun, but I prefer discussion and debate rather than blatant trolling.

I generally think your mods do a decent job, and in general you get more good threads on this board than most of the others, which is a reason I come on here, as you can get some good chat.

Unfortunately, you can also get some drivel, and some of the threads that are started here will clearly attract fans from other clubs who take offence to some of the things being said.

I spend most of my time on another RL forum, but I do enjoy this Wigan forum, and class it as possibly the best on RLFans.

p.s I've seen this Wire_85 on here a lot and so I'm assuming he was born in 1985. If so he's had absolutely nothing to cheer in his supporting life so for me he deserves his day in the sun. I've watched Wigan in 10 Challenge Cup Finals (winning

on top of the Grand Finals, Premiership, Regal Trophies etc etc in my 26 years so I can't complain.

You win the award for the most decent wire fan. I am ashamed you use another board as well though traitor.

And if more fans of other clubs had that attitude, it would be a better board. Sadly, you are the exception rather than the rule.

TBH, that is why I do sympathise with BK on this point, as this forum can become a bit like 6th form, which unfortunately I left a good while ago, so now I do use the other board.

That said, it is the busiest of the RL boards knocking around, so there will always be some good discussions in and amongst the crap.

Which other board do you post on? I don't know of many others.

The board is fine usually, I find that quite a few of the Saints lot can actually come on here and have a reasoned debate, but they do seem to be few and far between when it comes to the wire fans. In fairness though it is there biggest achievement for many many a year and hence a lot will come out of the woodwork to gloat.

Saying that though, whenever i've commented on another board i've tried to be reasonable and actually relate what i say to the topic, but i've seen a good number of the wiganers from this board just trolling on others as well, so it swings both ways.

Perhaps if the number of us that went spouting rubbish on the other boards stopped it may stop provoking others to come and return the favour later on.

Totalrl.com, the board of League Express etc.

A lot quieter than this one, but some good discussions, doesn't have individual club boards, and is focused around a more sensible version of the Virtual Terrace!

In a thread where BK is asking for more debate, the above thread is a perfect example of why many go downhill.

It was always going to happen after the semi whatever the result and probs abit after the league as well then it will die down, you have some good fans on here (Batesy seems like a good lad) but some not so good as well, as do we things went bit OTT after the semi with certain threads an that made things worst, I only post on here and anywhere else when it relates to Wire though thats whats good about RLFANS all the fans in one big forum.
