I know what your saying but tickets were really expensive and afew days later they were playing Man city away and tickets were much cheaper and they pretty much sold the allocation, and wasnt the Man U game midweek.

Latics will get relegated in afew years anyway and our problems will be solved. They will spend afew million on players and will not be able to recover when they go down and we may not see them again, much like if Blackburn went down this year.

You could argue that it is a poor attendance, it's a valid and reasoned point. However, with the credit crunch and people having less money to spend, Man Utd's ticket costs may of had a part to play.

Still, it doesn't excuse the poor home attendances, for a Premier League club, Latics should be selling the JJB out every week.

I doubt the JJB will get a test either so the RFL looking a bit short on venues.

Why does it have to be modern stadia?

I would like to see one of the games plaed at Leeds as it would be a cracking atmosphere, thats what internationals are all about.

I wouldnt mind going to one at Castleford, its a cracking ground with 10,000 on, great atmosphere.

It doesn't. But most non modern stadiums are poor and open to the elements. Not nice in winter.

Modern stadia attracts more fans.

first time I went this year and I have to say that place makes super league look like a joke......nothing more than an amatuer team should be playing there.....its not even a lower division standard....Its the sort of ground you should go to to watch either acadamy rugby, or a team like east hull, pats or judes!!

Back when England was second to GB.

If the RFL had any shred of decency in them they would not give any prestigious (and money-spinning) game to a ground where the owners treated the sport with contempt.

The likes of Huddersfield, Leeds, Warrington and Doncaster's stadiums are plenty big enough for most internationals, and should we need a bigger ground for the Aussies, then use Old Trafford or the City of Manchester Stadium, both of which have received RL with open arms in the past.

I'd go with Widnes for England v France, Doncaster for England v NZ and Huddersfield for England v Oz - with the final at the City of Manchester Stadium.
