In the past your probably right, but now I think our immigration have got different ideas. I recall that one of the NRL players recently was refused a visa cos he had driving offences in Aus.

I really don't think there is.
He would do really well in the NRL and probably wouldn't come back anyway.
Set up a link with Manly and let them have Hock for 2 years while we have Watmough

Thats the frustration of most serving police officers - it's blatently obvious he/she has been in possession at some point, whether it was a friend's or not but it cannot be proved that it belonged to that person or that person had it upon them.
Another loophole in the law IMO but that's an argument for another day

Surely then, by law of averages we should have a decent number of RLFANS posters who are also taking it?
Anyone going to admit to it?
Also, would you say it's an 'age' thing?
Neither myself, my mates, nor my close work colleagues take it (as far as I know), yet I've heard rumours of some of the younger ones at work (20-25 year olds) doing regular drugs on nights out.
Beer & Women was my drug when I was 25.

Thats just in athletics I think, and then its down to the individual countries to impose. Look at chambers, he served his 2 year ban and then uk athletics still wouldnt let him run.
Its more down to immigration rules.

Even though probably a third of my friends will have the occasional line on a night out it doesnt mean that they're all doing it every night!! out of your 3/4 friends do they do it every week?! No...so why do you presume 80% of wigan is.....its just exagerated 5hyte'"
Not everyone of them no, but 3 or 4 do, and one tragicly has a £250 a week habit, although its perhaps no shock that he dont get asked out with us much anymore, after a particular incident in a airport in Italy!
Personally, i think as soon as his b sample is positive, he should be sacked, and his registration held by the club, untill his ban is over, i honestly cant see him playing top flight again, for the same reasons others have posted!

Tricky one really isn't it?
I mean he hasn't actually been charged by the police with anything and nor will he. Sounds stupid considering the positive results but "lack of evidence" will prevent it.
Thus as he has no criminal record (or none that I'm aware of) there isn't anything stopping him from going to Australia. I'm not too sure if the RFL/NRL have an agreement on illegal drug taking - if not I hope no NRL club takes him on. He just doesn't deserve it.

Its definatley an age thing, im 29 so on the back end of my turning out days, but i know loads of lads in their early 20's who start the night on the lines.
When i was just starting going out round town 97ish, the stalls where always empty in the toilets, now they are always full of at least 2-3 lads making funny sniffing noises!

I agree. I think most sports in the world support/endorse WADA, i'm sure the NRL do, so he wouldn't be able to play League/Union/Football or any other sport that applies WADA's rules

Now we know it's all down to the baking powder in the Wigan Happy Pies

The cocaine problem reared it's ugly head for me one night in Reflex when i got caught short and had to take a dump. I was sat there minding my own businness when a bouncer opened the cubical door from the outside thinking i was taking the stuff
I'm sat there, pants round ankles telling him to fu*k off!
When you can't take a dump in peace it really is time for society to sort itself out

No. He faces a serious charge but innocent until proven guilty should apply.
If he's cleared by the hearing then he should be considered innocent and will have my full backing.
If he is found guilty then he should be sacked and never play for Wigan again. Simple really!

Could be a first, could be innocent or downright stupid. But the lad deserves a fair hearing and not the slagging off that he's getting.

And nor should there be.
Brown hasn't sold him down the river, he's confirmed what everybody knows already.
If Hocks 'b' sample comes back negative i'm a chinamon!

I agree he does deserve a fair hearing - and IF found guilty dealt with appropiately.
Some comments may be unfair but after the season we've had, what do you expect? Seem's to be one thing after another and I think the fan's are at breaking point.
After all, we've stood by not just Hock but Wigan RL - we've been mocked and downright embarassed for it but we've carried on. It seems to me that there is no justice for us long suffering fans. We don't get what we deserve for our loyalties - and it's starting to really aggravate people now.
