We have a mathematical chance to catch Hudds on points. But the goal difference is to much i think Hudds have +216 and we have +128. So Hudds would have to loose both games by a big margin and we would need to win both by a big margin.

Think 5th is better place to Finnish than 4th as at least you get 1 home game.

No its not. It is sudden death of you finish 5th. If you finish 4th you get a 2nd chance if you lose and if you win you get a week off and by winning would get a home game in the round after depending on who gets picked by the leading team.

If the playoffs made it better to finish 5th than 4th then they really would be stupid.

That's it. You are guaranteed at least one home game finishing in the top 4 what ever the scenario of progression is.

So much confusion over this new system but to clarify for others if Hudds and Hull KR somehow beat Leeds and Saints in Week 1 they'd win home advantage for Week 3 on top of a week off even if Saints and Leeds won their second chance games!

it looked like we were going to be relegated till Nobby came in. But for me it was one of the best seasons to attend games the atmosphere from the fans at the games was something you had to have been there to believe. Dont think i have been to many games before or since that season where the fans were so much behind the team.
And the one stand out game was Quins away the stand was bouncing so much i thought at one point it was going to collapse. Only game i think that has come close to that season since is the Come back game at Bradford.

I just feel thats our best option we seam to play better in sudden death games. But as said before everyone is entitled to there own opinion.

Assuming 1st beats 4th. If 4th wins we'll play 3rd. If both 3rd and 4th win we'll play 2nd.

This play off system gets worse then if thats the case. I think we would play the lowest ranked top 4 side should we progress though even though it doesn't say. It'd be garbage otherwise.

That seems fairer. Was just wondering if an upset happens whether we'd be going away to the 1st placed team in our second game.

Well if the loser of 1 v 4 is 4 then we will so I guess that is the logic with 4 expecting to lose but I agree. If out of 1 v 4, 1 loses but out of 2 v 3, 3 loses - we should play 3 not 1.

If both 5 and 6 win in round one then 5 could play 1 and 6 could play 3 in round two. Some reward for finishing 5th instead of 6th that is.

Doesn't this mean you are better off finishing 6th not 5th as you will avoid the top placed side until at the earliest round 3?

And the RL have described Week 3 as the Qualifying Semi. Surely it should be the Elimination Semi?
