Andy Platt signed from St. Pats - a Wigan club - when he was about 19. But I'll be generous and give you that one - he was with you briefly before he came home. But lets get real - that was 20 years ago, if not longer.

Connolly - whose name you can't even spell, which shows how familiar he is in your world - I may also grant you, even though we got most benefit from him. But then again, his arrival on the scene - 1989(ish) also puts him on the 20-year ago mark.

So, having thought about it, no actually, pal. You can't add them to the list.

It still don't change the fact wigan let good young players leave to go on and be good players.

But that's where you're wrong. Most Wigan fans dont bemoan us letting young players go. Long aside (and there were reasons for that) there is no-one we would rather have kept. It's just a matter of fact that because of the numbers of young players Wigan produce, it would be impossible to keep them all. We generally get it right. Recently we have let both Coyle Brothers go, Nicky Stanton and kept Sam Tompkins, Shaun Ainscough and others. I think we've got that right. Previously we've let Aspinwall, Wilde and others go and retained O'Loughlin, Hock etc. Again, most Wigan fans are more than happy with that. We leave it to trolls from other clubs to tell us we keep letting all our younngsters go. Never seen a convincing argument to support this yet though...

How many players have Wigan let go who have "then" gone on to be International players?

How many of those "good" players would you have had at Saints.

Fair enough we have let a few go, but take your anti-wigan glasses off for a second, its ok you can put them back on after you tell me apart from long, (which was not a ability issue) who are these wonderfull players who have gone on to rock the rugby league world who we have let go?

The only player i regret letting go is Tickle. Good kicker, solid forward. Apart from that, not fussed.

Long, goulding, Robinson, brown, briscoe, wilde, aspinwall.

I'd add Briscoe to that myself, I rate him tbh, would have also avoided the whole "we have no fullback" issue

wilde - a bit of a squad player, has done well now but instead of lockers at 13. no chance

Briscoe - no chance of first team rugby because his opposite number was the current GB full back and wigan legend. TBH he had to leave to get the game time that. still the right decision for both parties.

Brown- never rated him at all, people only thought he was any good because stevo wet himself everytime he played. brown belived his own hype and is now an average player at best.
