I wonder what the rental of a billboard would be at a good location in Wigan acknowledging our achievement paid for and organised by the fans? I would certainly put some cash in for that.

It was a good night all round and it was good to meet you all and put faces to the names. It has inspired me to help out as much as I can next season and try to round up more people for the Regiment. If anyone has an interest in the flags/Regiment get down to the next meeting and get involved we won't bite.

Just don't mention scarves and especially card displays.

Or balloons!

On the subject of Huddersfield hoping to follow us we’ve had compliments from fans of other RL clubs, football clubs and even rugby union clubs all hoping to do something similar. I’ve even been contacted by fans of Bohemians in Dublin to say that they look great and asking how we got it all organised.

Just a bit of a laugh about us trying to run before we can walk. We started out with the flags on the gantry, now we're branching out into large flags in the stands and other stuff like the badges. I think we want to get those things sorted before designing & paying out for scarves. Paul & meself wanted a thousand balloons for the WCC (it doesn't actually cost that much) but we feel there may be a distinct shortage of volunteers to blow the feckers up on the Sunday afternoon of the game



I'd like to see the club sort something like that out and it's something to discuss with them when we raise the subject of taking the large flags into the ground.

The club have a few H & S concerns about card displays. Even so, it's still a big expense for what might be a one off so that's maybe something for the future.

The ballon idea would be class.

Any news on having people form the army holding up flares at the front of the south stand?
