Quite simply Ganson has a 'Wigan complex'

The amount of cheap shots from Hull FC tonight were a disgrace and yet he wonders why guys like Joel do stupid things like he did??

I was directly in front of the Yeaman/Joel incident and without a shadow of a doubt Yeamen not only hit Joel in the tackle but then punched Joel twice in the face as well. All of this being in front of the TJ. I can’t honestly see a reason why Yeamen wasn’t given a 10 min break for it?

In all fairness we made it hard on ourselfs today deacon was badly injured early on and the pressure was on I think hull fc played very well for 70 mins obst was outstanding for them and the forwards radford,omeley,fitzgibbon never stopped but if you want to be the champions you have to win sloppy games I think this is our best start to a season in yrs and we have half of the team sitting in the stands. On the joel incident it was only time before it happened Willie Manu and yeaman were at it all afternoon.

That's the problem with the on report system and after match disciplinary analysis - it doesn't benefit the side that are playing. Five different cynical attempts were made to injure S. Tomkins today - Manu with two swinging high shots, Luauki with a chokehold grapple and a swinging arm while prone on the floor, and finally Yeaman with a tackle whilst in the air. If any had succeeded then Wigan would have undoubtedly lost and it would have been irrelevant what happened at the disciplinary afterwards.

I just dont understand WHY Ganson didnt sinbin anyone after the 3rd fight before the Joel sending off? Just to calm things down abit, but he just let it escalate. Absolute bell end.=#FF4000 Any more of that and you'll be taking a break. mods.

I don't question his bottle, there is no harm in binning a player from either side to let them cool down, this is the best way to do things. I do not defence what Joel did because it sounds bad IMO, but Joel shouldn't have been on the field and neither should Yeaman, if there was a scrap then send them off for 10mins.

Ganson was absolutley shocking today. He didnt protect some of the players and thats when it goes mental because they take matters in to their own hands then. Ganson let Hull get away with so much dirty play and cheap shots it was unreal, strange from Ganson as he is usually very strict. What the hell did he give the last penalty for as well? Tackling banned now?

It was great that we dug out the win. The sending off helped us in the end as that fired up the whole team and thats when we started smashed them back. If we had that intensity from the start it would of been a lot easier. I remember a couple of tackles after Joel got sent off the crowd roared so loud the roof nearly came off.

It's not just Sam who cops it, you see a few in most games, mainly "momentum" carrying prop forwards and the like into half backs just after the kick.

At least one official should be tasked with watching the kicker - the last thing we need is a player seriously injured.

Jesus, you lot are blinkered. It appears to me that both Tomkins brothers have some sort of aversion to being tackled.

Is there a new rule about not being able to tackle S.Tomkins? The incident 2 mins before h-t, how on earth you get the penalthy there, I cant believe. First decent kick we do, ST had nowhere to go after gathering and flys into touch off the tackle, he couldnt do ewt else. Penalty to Wigan. Joke.

Then Yeaman hits Joel T fair and square, good tackle. 5 mins later they clash again, Tomkins doesnt like it, brawl time. Ganson should give both yellow. But getting the penalty wasnt enough for JT, oh no, has to go back again and prove himself, silly boy. Had to go. Worked out in your favour somehow, cos it woke you up.

Still can't believe we managed to win that game especially the way we played. I've seen a number of posts regarding Deacon & although I don't disagree we need a goal kicker and organiser on the field for longer our key problem is our defence. What has happened to it? Today Hull FC defended more like we did last season whereas we tried to hard to wrestle the players to the ground rather than going low and allowed the Hull men to twist and offload in the tackle. Add to this the yards Hull made on every carry in comparison to our own (they got over the half way line far easier than we did without the aid of penalties) which made them far deadlier on our own tryline. Wigan had numerous chances in attack to go in at half time comfortable but showed very little in attack.

Part of this is down to some of the injuries we have but there is no excuse for that defence. It needs sorting and soon

not even props, cowardly second rows elbow dropping onto half backs heads long after they've scored tries, its terrible.

When your next at the DW why dont you air your views to Joel about how he is cowardly, to his face?

Its just a good job for your lot that you managed to hit Sam a few times round the head, as last time we met before today he was given the freedom of the KC and your players were chasing him round for 80 minutes in a 46-0 win.

We were very average for 75% of the game.

Again Maguire doesn't choose cover on the bench. Obviously must be part of some master plan that I don't understand, as to my mind it's very foolish. PD is our only real attacking option with the kick. When he went off we were left with a guy who's best position is 9 and a Loose Forward in the 2 key positions in an RL side. And we wonder why we lacked cutting edge in attack?

Then again we showed great character in digging in and getting the 2 points. Good stuff.

Ganson was awful. No - beyond awful. I am still bemused by the location of the Hull penalty towards the end of the game.

I went and hes right, its a joke the protection you expect s.tomkins to get, why? and joel, dont get me started on him, what a joke, if those 2 are modern day rugby league players, its a worry, play acting and moaning at refs constantly, crying when they get tackled! wrong game tomkin bro's, bad for the game!
