Before I get slated for O'loughlin in the centres I have good reason.....O'loughlin's handling has been terrible for the past few weeks and is one of the main reasons we have been doing so badly....putting him in the centres serves a number of purposes....firstly he wont get the ball as much and have too much of an onus on him with ball in hand, secondly all he will need to do is run a good centre line and distribute to roberts, which he runs well at LF anyway....and finally probably most importantly were in depserate need of shoring the right hand side up, which has been ridiculously weak in the last games and a big reason for our losses. If theres one thing lockers can do it is tackle...and he would firm up that side IMO....phelps, goulding, pryce are all far to weak defensiely and should not be chosen until theyve all spent a fortnight on tackling bags!!!

Interesting thought and fairly well justified. However, you need a 2nd Prop on the bench so out goes Thornley for Prescott.
Also, I was thinking Lockers was ok in the first couple of games so doing this based on one game would be tight. More realistic is Bailey moving to the Right Centre position.

Tough on Pryce to miss out after his good game against Cas but he's still not fully fit yet. Bailey to right centre is a must after our defensive line on that side is so weak. Joel is playing out of his skin at the moment so deserves to start in the 2nd row, and with Feka, Hock and Leuluai's impact I feel that's a pretty strong bench.

Quote I have no doubts we have a team in there, and when we get everyone back on deck, we'll be fine. Hopefully we'll get Bailey and Richards for Saturday.'"
Though he'll be available, he doesn't mention of Mathers.
Quote Try-scoring debutant Shaun Ainscough hurt his foot...
Noble said: "Shaun hurt his foot turning towards the end of the game, but he saw the match through and should be okay.'"
For Saturday?
I can't see Mathers playing in all honesty.

Truly, stupendously unbelieveable! How can Riddell, Roberts and Smith (in defence at least) escape criticism? These imports are the problem IMO. We have far too many who don't know or care enough about this club.

For all his faults he at least shows some passion. And turns up in the public areas afterwards to take it on the chin, unlike our imports (Roberts excluded) who yet again were nowhere to be seen. Riddell's and Smith's performances are of far greater significance than Mathers', who didn't even play last week.

Actually that's a fair point to the lad, sadly it doesn't make him a good full back.

Before their try when Smith didn't make his tackle where I was sat you could see him calling over one of the back rowers to slide across. Tomkins & O' Loughlin just looked at him. Their 2nd rower picked him out and just ran @ him. The crap he is ment to be shouting is obviously encouragement, it shows even if he is not hitting form he is encouraging others to play well.
I don't know why you are not encouraging talking are you Sean O' Loughlin.
Stick S. Tomkins next to him & TL @ 9. That would be a fantastic trio.

If Richards is still injured I'd have Pryce on the wing, Goulding at centre and Roberts at full back. The most important change is shoring up the defence on the right side, to do this I'd have Smith defend on the left between Hansen and Carmont, which should make him less susceptible. Then on the other side you have Leuluai and O'Loughlin which shouldn't be too bad either, having said that I thought Lockers had a shocker v Cas.

| where has everyone seen that pryce had a good game fri?!!? Just dont see it myself....ainscough yes, but pryce?!! Even leneghan seemed to think he looked good but for me he looked fat, lazy and slow, was caught out in defence 3/4 times, and hesitated a number of times with the ball when he could have tried to get round players or at least steam rolled em instead (hes big enough)!!!
Wouldnt get in for me on that performance - add that to the friendlys and i really think we've signed a crock.....he doesnt even look close to his old form at bradford!!
For me him, riddell, and amos should be in the reserves for a couple of months until they get match fit

I agree with that, but IMO apart from one of their tries Pryce had a good game, if anything Goulding went himself too much and didn't use the big guy enough.

| Roberts and Riddell in the reserves?
People are so quick to jump the gun it's unbelievable. You have to appreciate that foreign players need time to get used to the competition & if both of them play to their full potencial then they will be fantastic signings but this will not be achieved playing them in the reserves.
Also, it's worth mentioning that both players missed the back end of last years NRL through injury too.
