We only used 16 a couple of times last year iirc when Tuson first came onto the bench.

It would have been good for the lad just to have a match day experience with the first team and i'm sure his chance will come. There are more then enough games in superleague where we could rest a halfback and give him a shot and not look any worse for it.

Because we'd have had no cover in the backs in case of injuries. Normally we'd have the option of moving Joel to centre, which we've had to do before, or Lockers to #6, but he was already there. None of the forwards we had could really cover in the backs.

Spot on. Hard to pick a man of the match because the whole team defended so well. Great team effort - let's hope we can do it next week which I think will be more of a challenge.

If Roberts has been able to catch those bombs then it would have been a perfect defensive display.

Not so sure about that, Kris Radlinski came on as a sub for his debut when we got smashed 46-0 by Cas in 1993, didn't damage his confidence.

However, cracking defensive performance by Wigan and superb effort all round (Amos did look uneasy under the high ball but the Brough kick which shaved the crossbar would have troubled any full back, Goulding was the main culprit for that one for batting the ball back to Robinson).
