| Quote ="pondmonster"Sit back, relax and enjoy. Let it sink in whenever.
I have watched the GF about 4 times now. Favourite moments include : Gleesons 2nd try, Coley outpacing Wilkin, Wellens pass to Goulding, Graham’s tantrum, Tommy swearing and the face he pulls when the sky guy apologises, Lockers lifting the trophy and of course the superior team display from the boys.'"
All great moments but for me seeing Lockers lift that trophy was the best. To lift that trophy as captain after all the flak he has had (including from so-called Wigan fans) must have been a fantastic feeling for him.
How richly he deserved that success after sticking with Wigan in the wilderness years, he always gives 100% for the team and is Wigan through and through. Which is, of course, why he's hated by fans of other clubs so much (though it doesn't explain the ridiculous criticism that comes his way from some Wigan fans...)

| I agree about Lockers but, be fair, most of the criticism from Wigan fans is well in the past. It's a long time since I've seen/heard a Wigan fan give him a good bashing (except for his performance against the Aussies on Sunday where he was pretty poor).

If he mentions it at all I'm sure he'll remember to include a reference to "wonderful Warrington" or some such rubbish in the next breath...

| Many highlights in the Grand Final for me, but the best moment has to be after 25 mins when Goulding puts Meli into touch and the whole of one end of Old Trafford stood to a man to cheer.

| I watched the full game for the first time last night and loved every minute. I went on holiday a few days after the final and it was the first chance I got yesterday to watch it again.
I realised only yesterday just how comfy the game was for us. I knew on the night we'd played very well and the scoreline flattered Saints but because of the occasion I always felt uneasy at Old Trafford on the night.
We tonked them in all honesty.

| I have watched the game about 10 times and I watch the tries every day, Saints were lucky it wasn't a much bigger scoreline. Could have been mid 30s!

| It sunk in at the final whistle for me.
The lads had been the best team all year and during the season the play offs seemed a long time coming. Knocked my confidence with the loss at home in the play off game but the re-run at Leeds put matters to rights.
The Grand Final proved that they were the best in the League and no one doubted that both the League Leaders Shield and the Super League Trophy making Wigan RL Champions again were well deserved.
A remarkable turnaround in our fortunes and the main factor to me was Ian Lenagan buying the club from Dave Whelan.
Last year was only IL's third in charge and his appointment of Michael Maguire was an inspired one.
The future at Wigan looks brighter than it has for decades.
Well done to all at the club for a fantastic achievement.

| Quote ="LovesToSpooge"It's still not sunken in yet for me, as I don't think of us as Champions when I think about Wigan. Maybe it's because as soon as we became Champions the SL season finished and since then little has been made of it. Still I'm sure as soon as the 2011 season kicks off and were referred to as Champions it will seem more real. Anyone else feeling a similar way?
On a side note how many times have people watched the GF? I viewed it for the sixth time last night, and enjoy it more and more after each viewing.'"
Only Six?! I watched it 10 times in the first week! I have watched it at least once every single day since it happened. I think I can just about do the running commentary off by heart now.

| Still sinking in. I still keep looking at our honours list just to make sure that the 19th league title has been recorded!
Savouring it so much that 21-12 & meself chucked in for a flag with '19 Times Champions' on it! Looking forward to hammering the point home at some away grounds next season. "We're not famous anymore"
Watched it 3 or 4 times.

Wouldnt waste your money.....you'll only get a year's use out of it and it will be out of date
Still just sinkin in myself......Just been on the website and its only when you see the list of honours for last season it makes it sink in and makes you realise WIGAN ARE WELL AND TRUELY BACK! It still feels like a dream though;
Super League Champions
Super League League Leaders
Super League 9's Champions (even more special as it was achieved with an academy team against a near full strength bradford line up in the final)
Club of the Year
Best supported RL Club
Man of Steel
Young Player of the Year
Coach of the Year
Super Leagues top Try Scorer
Super Leagues top points scorer
No wonder it was so easy to get sponsorship this year with all that!!
Thanks to IL, Mike Maguire, the backroom staff, and all the lads for making me and many others proud to be a Wigan RL fan again. I thought it after the Leeds F/e but then they topped it off with the GF - We're back where we belong and long may it stay that way!

| It wouldn't surprise me if we aren't referred to as champions. In 97 and 98 when the then champions struggled, Eddie bigged up super league. In 99 when we struggled he belittled us. So what?
I cant wait to sing 'you've only come to see the champions'

| We're not famous anymore?
Ironic chant. Like United fans singing 'Who the fook are Man United" when they score because that was a chant directed at them by opposition fans pretty much as 'You're not famous anymore" was directed at us during the lean years.
It's tongue in cheek I suppose & typical of Wiganers in general who have always tended to take criticism from our enemies and turn it into a positive like pie-eaters (a term we now embrace) and Wigan Pier (a music hall joke that was made a tourist attraction)
