One of those MoM awards was a sham though
To be fair, he had a great first half today. Every pass was on the money, slick and accurate. He opened them up like a can of Dulux ![Cool icon_cool.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_cool.gif)

That pass for Tomkins try was world class. World class is over used by commentators but that one pass was one that Andrew Johns or Darren Lockyer would of been proud of. No wonder this guy had by far the most try assists in the NRL. credit to Joel Tomkins as well for timing the run and angle to perfection.

It was wasn't it. There was a collective gasp when he threw that pass. There was a one or two like that last week against Wakey too, hope he can keep it up.

| It's working a treat with him starting and Sam coming on at the minute.
He starts the games very well and sets a nice tempo for us but does seem to tire a little as the match goes on. That at the minute though isn't a huge problem though as it's letting Sam come on and stamp his mark on games.

| Trent who?
I said this late last year - this lad has got something you cannot coach. He is ball playing scrum half with fantastic vision and distribuition. He is also showing signs of a good kicking game. His passing is absoloutly sublime.
Fair play to the lad for bouncing back, there was a big problem with his defence, he went away had some time out and came back a much stronger player. He looks fitter and stronger as well as this he is very enthuisiastic. Ive also noticed he is very vocal on the pitch which is something we need at the moment as we are a quiet team.
Keep it up.

| Smith is coming in to form now and doing well. His passing is fantastic, he has the best pair of hands since Andy Greg for me. He is growing in confidence and is becoming more vocal. We have a good combination building up with our play makers with Smith, Tommy, Sam and Lockers. I can see this combination along with Piggy and McIllorum becoming a potant weapon.
One question not asked yet is do we offer him a new deal?

If he keeps that form up for the rest of the season we have to but alot will depend on wheather he wants to stay or not.
He's on top form at the minute.

| Tim Smith has the best hands in the league. Earlier in the season he made some aweful errors in defence which did not do his confidence any good so he went to sleep abit in attack. Great to see him in form.

I get the feeling he won't want to stay but maybe a good run of form and wins could change his mind.
On this form though he won't struggle to find a club willing to take a punt on him in the NRL because aswell as his good onfield form the guy hasn't been a problem off it.

| thought he was superb. okay so he doesnt make breaks and run through teams like halfbacks such as burrow or pryce; but his passing and organisation was immense. just bossed wigan around the bitch and didnt give long or pryce time to breathe. Has the potential to be a world-class pivot. remember... form is temporary, class is permanant ![Wink icon_wink.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_wink.gif)

| His pairing with Bailey in defence is helping him no end. Its offering him protection and you can see his confidence growing by game.
Dropping him worked, if he can play like this week in week out, we need look no further for a halfback.

| The enthusiasm he brings to the team is fantastic.
He's leads and bosses both the forward and backs around the field and is able to follow the talk up with great hands and kicking game. The ball he gave Joel was awesome, as was the line Joel ran himself.
I'd love to see Smith play consistanly well for the remainder of the season.

All he needs is a Pack to dominate the game and in the last couple of weeks they have started to do that. On Saturday he got tacked with the ball twice the forwards were giving him room to play and boy did he show what he can do. He is getting back to the player he was before his troubles in Australia

It was reminiscent of Barrett and Joel last season. Barrett put some lovely balls out to Joel for him to score.

| His form has been bob on the past few weeks and we all hope he keeps it going until the end of the season!
His passing is different class, I bet the centres & wingers love those passes as it gives them that extra bit of space.
Good moment for me was about 20 mins into the 1st half and he was looking for inside runners. He screamed at his team mates for not giving him runner options, Hock looked a bit cheesed! You want your half-backs doing that though, keep it up Timmy!

| He has certainly shown what he can do. As somebody else posted he has the kind of talent that you cannot coach. Do we give Noble some credit for getting him up to speed and bringing him back into the team when most of us would of happily let him go home a month ago?

I think Noble deserves some credit without doubt but the guy himself deserves the most.
When we signed him people spoke about his problems and you wondered if he could be a nightmare to have around the club but the lad has done nothing but struggle to settle into the side, get dropped and then worked his rocks off to get back in and taken his chance we he's been given it. Away from the field he doesn't seem to have been a problem at all.
He hasn't whinged and has just kept his head down in the reserves waiting for his chance.
I think he deserves alot of credit.

I think so, I can confidently say that I have not once said that we should let Smith go as he needs to have a team built round him to provide him options with. When we signed Gleeson this was the best news that Timmy could have got, when at Parra he had good players at either side of him. It is only now that we are starting to see what he is capable of because of our options on both sides, I hope his form continues as he is a real talent and is a player that plays on confidence.
