IL is quoted speaking - unbelievably - of "mutual respect" between the codes, while some Baa-Baa rah-rah is quoted talking about RL players getting to play on "the big stage".

Could you direct us to such articles? The ST selection has got very little news coverage
even when the story broke, let alone now most articles seem more concerned with domestic games. Articles covering the game have no analysis or new comment on the ST.

Union in the media is all about the leaked world cup review at the moment, the RFU seem to be getting a pasting by the press.

It's a regional thing. Union is dead up North, League is dead down South. The difference being: all of the media is based down South.

But with the BBC sport moving to Salford, we can hopefully start to address that problem.

Except the beeb, probably why we get more coverage.

Are you sure about this? Why are the editors journalists for the likes of the Manchester Evening News, Yorkshire Evening Post, Huddersfield Examiner, Liverpool Echo, Bradford express all based in the south (wherever that maybe).

Sky are based down south makes you wonder why they give RL such good coverage, thank goodness for Quins/Broncos.
