Botica (loved the fact he used to live at the end of my street), Bell, Paul.

My favourite was Pongia, he was just so tough and intense he never got in a fight because he never needed to, whenever there was a kick off nobody went near him. I also think that his arrival brought out the best in Smith, they were an awesome combination when they were both on the field at the same time.

No contest, it has to be Dean Bell.

He was my rugby league hero when I was a kid due to his attitude of never letting the opposition know that you're hurt. Who can forget those scenes on "Up N Under" of him being stitched up then getting back on the field.

You couldn't meet a nicer fella either, was chuffed to bits when I got him to sign my copy of his autobiography.

Did also like the Iro's, Paul, Inga, Smith and Botica (who was much more than a great goalkicker).

Good old 'Si thi Si thi'

This would be my choice too, he was at the club when i first started watching Wigan with my Dad. Great memories.

Dean Bell was my hero.

I was 11 when he left and i cried like a little girl

Well its between Bell, Botica and Graeme West but West gets it.

Bell was the better player and a real hero of mine, Botica a legend with the boot (and very underrated as a 6) but West is a real top bloke who served the club well beyond his playing days. Before he was coach he was great as a behind the scenes man for the club. Very approachable and always willing to help. I was sorry when he became coach because I knew the inevitable sacking would occur one day and he'd be lost to the club.

For those saying Inga - he's Samoan!

Westy - his signing marked the start of Wigan returning to the top of english RL - we started to get quality rather than garbage...........

He was so far ahead of the skill level of the other forwards at the time.

And he was a top bloke as well.

Following that it must be Dean Bell for his level of commitment.

Inga wasn't around long enough for me although I enjoyed watching him play - also loved the Iro brothers - one of the best sights in RL is a big tall back wanting to run over another player rather than bothering to run round them................

But it has to be westy, did it as a player and a coach......

Graham West.

Fantastic guy, and provided some great memories on the field in my early days watching. That run at Elland road will stay with me forever.

For the younger fans that was in the CC semi at Elland rd in 1985 against the (then) top side Hull KR. Ran 60yds went through George Fairbairn as if he wasn't there and then fed David Stephenson to go under the sticks, which ultimately ended up with this 17yr old (me) falling flat on his a*se in the excitement and being trampled by hundreds of Wiganers.....oh happy days
