Mick Potter is a very good coach in my opinion. He did wonders at Catalans and I was very happy when I saw Saints were getting rid.

I think Potter is a very good coach but I do not think he is capable of coaching a top side to success, he seems to struggle working with the big names but brings out the best in the not so star quality players.

Bradford should go really well this year then.

If Potter gets us into the 8 he'll make 99% of Bulls fans happy.

He's just the man to get us on the up again, perhaps doing a job like Noble did for you guys. He may not be the man to take us back to the very top but he'll certainly put us on the right road.

I don't think you'll find a single Wigan fan - not on this forum anyway - who isn't glad to see Bradford looking like they're over their recent problems. There weren't too many of us with much time for Steve McNamara, but to see Bradford slump the way they did in recent years was quite a shock. We need as many strong, competitive clubs as we can get, and to have you lot up there challenging again would be ideal.

If Bradford, Hull and Huddersfield fulfill their potential this year, the final play-offs could be awesome.

They have Luke Dorn, Luke Gale and Chris Bailey, although Dorn could play at fullback and Bailey can play in the back row, so there's a chance that Mellor could get some regular games.

I wouldnt think so, Im assuming Mellor is being sent there to play Super League, no point in sending him to play in the reserves when he can do the same at Wigan with better coaching (no offence to Quins)

Yeah but we're not all that well off for halfbacks with Finch out for a while, Tommy needed to cover hooker, Sam wanted at fullback...and it's not as easy to recall from loan as it is from dual reg.

They have to stay a month at their new club when it's a loan deal.
After a month they can be recalled within a day or so!

I believe that Quins chairman David Hughes has announced the Pryce and Mellor loan deals at the Capital Challenge this afternoon.

Superb moves for Wigan those imo. I can't wait to see Mellor get some superleague gametime and Pryce needs to be given some games aswell. He'll also hopefully get abit of a gee up from this loan and realise he needs to up his overall game if he wants to cut a career at Wigan.

I'm also happy with the Pryce deal as it means we'll be seeing more of guys like Marsh and Charnley here at Wigan and i believe both( and especially Charnley) are ready for the challenge.

For a young 19 year old halfback to be getting some Super League experience is invaluable and should accelerate his development against tougher opposition. A very positive move for Wigan and Mellor.

For Karl Pryce it is a wake up call IMO. With the greatest of respect to Harlequins, this loan deal signals a 'look where you could end up' retrospective for Pryce. At least this is what I hope he realises. First team Super League is what he will get there, which he wouldn't here. Definitely a positive move. If Karl Pryce can improve each week and demonstrate he is more than capable of filling in or even displacing one of our first choice centres then Wigan and Karl ultimately benefit.
