I appreciate the wink, but I doubt anything of that sort will happen now that we're in the cup semi - and that'll take us almost to the end of the season.

But doesn't that mean decisions will only happen based on future results? If not, I don't see a problem in announcing new deals - be they for players or a coach - now. It's not as if we are sacking anyone....

Aslong as he doesn't end up at Saints i'm more then happy for him to stay at Hull KR.

P'haps Morgan will be appointed our new coach and bring Dobson with him...

Dobbo is another one who I don't think anyone at Wigan has mentioned. We do get carried away sometimes.

I've asked over and over why we're assuming Dobbo would leave Rovers to come to Wigan at present, and no-one has given me a good answer.

We have so called been signing MoiMoi for the last 4 seasons and it's never happened. His is more impact than a ****house that we need, him and Feka would not play 80mins between them.

Luke Bailey would be the best option IMO or O'Meley. I think we missed out last season, Carvell would of been awesome for us.

Bailey is still contracted and playing rep so doubt he will come at least till the end of next season. O'Meley would be risky IMO, not the player he was a couple of years ago but could still do a job.

Carvell is quite similar to MoiMoi in some respects and would probably have done well for us

I'm sure with a good off season in the gym we could get MoiMoi and Feka doing 40 each

He has done 2 prison terms so i doubt very much he would get a visa.

The Aussie press quoted Wigan and Hull in the chase for Orford's signature.
Now Long has signed for Hull that may leave Wigan as the only club looking to sign Orford.
Unless of course he was signed some days ago and Long was informed there was now no deal at Wigan hence he signed for a club the other side of the country.
I'd be very happy with Orford at Wigan!

They've also talked about the Dire as well.

Rather have Lockyer than Orford.

What would you do when Orford goes home in 2 years then?

I'm all for signing him but they need to have a plan for when he leaves in place ASAP

Sign up every promising halfback in the reserves at superleague level and hope one of them comes good to partner Sam Tomkins

Excellent point, we need a 7 now. We cannot miss out on Orford and dismiss it as, well in 2 years we would have been screwed, we are screwed next year without a top drawer halfback.
