Agree. In fact we lose Coley but potentially gain Lockers and Roberts - so all things being equal we will probably have a stronger team against Wire than we did against Catalans.

Adrian Morley got away with a thuggish (imo) challenge against us earlier this season. Jamie Peacock had two attempts at decapitating Sam Tomkins and didn't even get mentioned at the RFL. Keith Senior gets away with kicking out in the tackle as if thats the normal thing to do in much the same way Lee Smith did against us in the playoffs a couple of years ago. We get players sinbinned regularly in close games, Liam Farrell is a recent example for taking out the kicker yet this happens against us every week and goes unpunished or just penalised at best. Peacock did it on Tommy in the cup game, nobody mentioned it but it was blatant and dangerous and it was conveniently ignored. Not sure what game it was but Joel Tomkins was sinbinned in a home game a few weeks ago and I've watched it on the DVD a few times and I still can't work out what the offence was, also didn't he get a formal caution for dropping his knees despite the fact his knees dropped onto grass not even on the player? I happen to think 2 matches is fair enough but the lack of consistency is a total joke and really pi**es me off. Morley and Peacock in particular are going to injure someone one of these days but because they're 'ambassadors' nothing will happen until something serious happens.

I think Wigan will appeal and the ban will be 1 game

I think that tackle does justify a 2 match ban, it was direct contact the head but I also see where your coming from with other same style tackles don't get a ban.

The rfl really need to sort that mess out!

Its harsh a red and 2 match ban, seems hes had the book thrown at hime yet Morley has a worse record and got less for his assault on Sherwin.

It's a deserved 2 game ban imo but I agree the frustration comes from the fact that we know certain players would get away with it. If Cunningham, Peacock or Morley would have made that tackle then they wouldn't have been banned(or they would have got a ban over turned on appeal at least) and thats were the frustration really comes in.

In terms of whats good for the game though a 2 game ban seems about fair for Coley though but the same rules should apply for all players.

Dont have a problem with a 2 match ban , it was a bad tackle . What i do have a problem with is if you play for England you can do what you want with the blessing of RFL .

What Morley and Peacock have got away with this season is no less than common asault with the blessing of the RF bloody L .You can add Keith Senior & KFC(Wales) to that list as well .

2 match ban is fair enough too - swinging arm right round the chops, took him off his feet.

As mentioned earlier though it is the inconsistency with the rfl that is the problem. just one obvious example;

Peac*cock on sam - swinging arm, right round the chops, took him off his feet - pretty much identical. Result = penalty. How Coley's was a sending off and two match ban worse than that is impossible to know.

Plenty of other examples involving well known forwards with history..........

Trying to determine intent is pretty much impossible - you either hit someone around the face or you don't. No argument. End of Story.
