I know Widnes is being touted as a possibility, but given that several of your players were rested for that game, the most valuable ones to you, one would also wonder if Shaun Wane and/or Saints will want to play on the i-pitch? I know everyone says it's fine etc etc, but it's no secret that there's people who don't like it particularly, so that may also be a factor.

Wigan away is one of my favourite fixtures (after at home of course!) it wont be the same if its not in wigan!

The only things that DW cares about are (1) money and (2) his reputation. So as long as people keep moaning on here but still buying beer and pies at the stadium during and after the game / using his gym, restaurant, stadium facilities and chippie nothing will change. But some serious drop in revenue and some embarrasment in front of his football mates will have him reeling.

I think the fact that the situation hasn't yet been resolved, two whole days after the draw, indicates that Wigan haven't just lain down and let Whelan shaft them.

Yes, that definitely did happen - though I can't remember the exact dates (early 60s, I think). Wigan weren't the only club. Others joined them in the boycott.
