Yes, for sure keep him - after all he does make alot of yards and really ups the tempo of the team when he comes on. The only issue I have regarding Feka is his fitness, now whether thats because of his sheer weight or lack of fitness training, I don't know nor do I wish to speculate.

FWIW, if Feka did shed, for arguments sake, a stone or two - I don't think he would be as powerful or make as many yards as he does do. Although, that may well increase his game time. So in that respect it's abit of a dodgy area.

As has been mentioned many a time, you want 1 out of your 4 props to be an impact prop. And feka is as top as they come in that category.

You don't want them to play more than 15-20 minutes a game, if they do it defeats the point of them being called "impact" props.

Look at who is regarded as the top impact prop in the league, Fa'savalu, Feka beats him hands down for me.


Basically, the problem isn't feka. People want him to play longer because the props who should be enforcers and 60 minutes props arent doing there job properly. Feka is doing his job at a world class level in my opinion.

I think he would gain more yards if he lost two stone. When did he last make a break? I agree that he does make an impact when he comes on but he seems that he needs self discipline where diet is concerned. We all love him but he could do better.

i remember been at the wakey game in the cup, i took my dad who is a wakey fan, and when feka came of the bench, his exact words were ' oh , thats what we're lacking, we dont have a feka'. if the fans think that, what do the players that have been playing for 25 minutes think. i wouldn't want to be the one that puts a hit on him. look what happened to godwin.

In many games he has been our main point of go forward, a few times last season when he was off the field it was noticable.

Id keep for the next few years, also helps that we loves the club.

In a performing pack Feka would be unstoppable. I dread to think what he would have done with Smith Pongia and Tez as his supporting players. If we want to build a trophy winning pack we MUST build it around Feka not look to ship him out!

Think there are more questionable players in our pack then Feka, the lads awesome at times and gives the squad a good platform to go forward would be retarded to get rid of him!

of course he is worth keeping!! at times he has been our only go forward, that's when he tires most, his game time is coming on, if we can get him up to 35plus mins a game, with the rest of the pack working well, he can't go wrong

Impact Prop yes in my opinion.

It seems as though every season Feka's worth is questioned at one point on this messageboard.

Every season he kicks on to prove how vital a player he is. It's scary how good he would be ina dominant forward group.

Sadly we cannot have this debate without knowing how much money he is on.


If he is on £50k then of course keep.


If he is on £200k then no we can't afford him.

I don't think my first posted summed up how stupid this thread is he is one of our best players for God sake do you actually watch Wigan Warriors or do you just read what jealous Saints fans write about him?

Yes for that reason alone. The RL we play is boring enough as it is.

He is an impact player but I don't think he is used quite right when on the pitch. For example at the end of the 1st half v HKR we had something like 3 sets of six on their line when he was on and he was used as a decoy all the time. That close to the line at least one pass to him as 1st receiver would have been worth a shout.

Maybe my expectations of him are too low but but despite fitness issues I tend to look to other players to improve more than him.
