I don't think it was a case of Wigan taking their foot off the gas in the second half. That is just an excuse. If you had been playing in the opposite direction in the first half with the wind against you Bradford could quite easily have gone in at half time with a bigger lead than Wigan did. If you had then mounted a comeback in the second half you would all have been praising your team. On the night you were no better and no worse than the Bulls. On a lighter note ...my other half backed Bradford to win at -6 at 10/11 so he was a happy chappy at the end.
Wigan have not been really tested this season as they had a couple of easier fixtures at home to start with and then the Wire game which Wire lost rather than Wigan won. You were very lucky in the end to come away with that win. You then played a depleted out of form Dragons side once again at home. You will need to look at the situation again in a few weeks time to see just how good you actually are. I think Wigan are a much improved side from last year but it is too early in the season to make any real judgement on the team and it's performances so far.

Apparently McGuire came over to sign for Leigh but took a wrong turn.

and ended up with this totally rubbish but lucky set of players.

I'm not sure if that was good or bad luck on his part but it involved Wigan so it was luck one way or the other.

It's got nothing to do with luck. What happened in the second half on Friday night was that you were challenged but this time there was no-one dropping the ball over the tryline. The Bulls scored that winning try, unlike Wire, who fumbled it.

Its got everything to do with luck. We are just one lucky team, without this luck it could be 2006 all over again.

Hallellujah someone else noticed! He's very good at sticking his hand out like a T Rex making it look like he's going for a tackle whilst making no attempt whatsoever to move. But why the hell does he always end up as marker when defending the line, he's bobbins and always has been in that position.

I had a fiver on Bradford. I just felt that as great as Wigans start has been that they have had some very favourable fixtures and a bit of luck going their way. Definite top 3 side though.

I'd agree with the luck part but the favourable fixtures thing is being exaggerated having played Warrington away who are tipped for 2nd by many and Rovers at home who are tipped for 4th by Garry Schofield thats 2 games out of 4 at least against decent sides. Yes we had a bit of luck against Warrington in Solomona dropping the ball as the Saints fan pointed out (as he would) butthese things balance themselves out like a team going ahead for the first time in a game with less than a minute on the clock to come back as happened V Bradford, pretty unlucky if we're being that ridiculous about whats lucky and whats not.

Some Wigan fans were being totally ridiculous and asking for threads like this by getting carried away but I've still seen a more interesting style of rugby in 5 games this season than for years at Wigan and I'm more convinced that we now have a coaching team who are able to address issues on an ongoing basis such as who needs to be dropped/rested and stuff. If we carry on through the season losing one game every five I think most fans would be happy with that.

at the end of the day, the wind was the major factor, both sides scored 4 tries all at the same end of the feild, it was just unlucky we didnt kick a couple more of ours. If the game was under normal conditions i think the result would of been ours, it wasn't, big woop. We're still top, Going strong, i think this will give the lads a kick up the ass for next week, roll on Hull.
