By 'contesting', does he mean removing and by 'The Ball' does he mean Sam's head? As it appeared that was what he was trying to do.

Agreed, totally shocking and in no way was that ever contesting for the ball. That was purely and simply trying to hurt or put the $hits up the fullback, i'll give him the benefit of the doubt that he wasn't trying to break sam's jaw and rather just put him off. And I think i'm being really bloody kind there.

I think it was twice as bad as Coley's high shot against Catalans. Whether he'll get twice the punishment remains to be seen.

Sam will recieve a 10 game ban for headbutting Ablett's elbow.

It was far worse than Coley's at Catalan (which still did deserve the sending off and a 1 to 2 match ban).

I'd be surprised if Ablett gets suspended with the Semi next week, or Ryan Bailey, and certainly think it would be miraculous for both.

It does remain to be seen. I think we can clearly state, if the two of them get off with it, that Red Hall is legitimately Biased toward Leeds

Brian McLennan is just as bad for defending Ablett, Ablett should have been sent off and Bailey should have had ten mins but Ganson thought he would look after his boys for next week putting them on report so they are banned not that Ablett not playing will make a difference as he is bobbins.

What I wouldn't give to get on that field and give Bailey a big right hand to the chin.

Ablett should have got the red immediately. It's the worst attack I have seen all season. The RFL will give him about 3 matches off this week.

I wish someone would have stuck one on Ablett for it, times like that is when we need Newton or Skerrett to show they can't pick on Sam otherwise they will take him out of the game.

Coley went because Ganson had given a warning before halftime that the next penalty would mean a binning. The line between tackling late and getting there just in time is a fine one so it could be argued that he wasn't really late but just committed. However, given Wigan's pretty generous gifting of penalties just before halftime, you were going to get short shrift from Ganson. To be fair, Ganson did give Leeds exactly the same warning not that long after Coley came back on and so they would have had the same treatment had they lost their discipline.

So far as the tackle on Tomkins was concerned I thought it looked bloody awful, could have broken his neck and deserved a red plus at least a two match ban. However, from the re-runs it looked like Ablett led with the shoulder and as we found when Bailey did the same thing on Maurie last season, that's a legal tackle and McLennan will just talk the RFL out of doing anything. I don't think leading with the shoulder anywhere near the face should be legal - it isn't in the NRL - but that's the rule and so I doubt whether Ablett will get a ban even though I reckon he should.

Bailey will get a telling off for the knee. That is illegal, whether in attack or defence, and so he will be charged and punished but I doubt very much he will get a ban, even though I think he should.

Glad you lot won, by the way. I was far too supportive of you, bearing in mind my allegience. I think it was that tackle on Sam Tomkins that did it for me. I wanted Leeds to lose anyway because I always want Leeds to lose and they were breathing down our necks. But that tackle just turned it for me and I [ireally[/i wanted Wigan to win after that!

However, I've recovered and so now you can lose all your remaining matches and get kicked out of the playoffs at the first opportunity. Thanking you kindly!

The question remains why JJB wasn't sin binned after tackling the player after he'd kicked the ball, not long after they'd been warned it was the next one gone.
