These trains, and those from Bolton, are pretty reliable and usually clean and comfortable. The Bolton ones usually start from Manchester Airport and fair shift.

If getting on at Wigan, change at Lancaster and not Preston as you don't have to move platform to get your connection. Plus at Lancaster you'll see the Giant Axe ground and (what remains of) Quay Meadow, where Wigan and England legend Jim Leytham first learned the game.

It's also worth considering getting on at Chorley instead as I seem to think that the price drops significantly from there.

problem is theres only a 5 minute gap at lancaster , if the train is late from wigan next one is 2 hours. 3 15 in barrow, i suggest an earlier train from wigan. 10 48 leaves us 30 mins at lancaster

Just ordered two for us without any difficulties - and still free to season ticket holders.

1 adult + 1 child ticket for Barrow, due to genuine personal change in circumstances unable to use and do not want them going to waste (free to whoever as I did not pay for them) anybody interested?

Right be informed ALL free (i.e terracing) tickets for Barrow are now SOLD OUT and they won't get anymore.

The ticket office do have 22 seated tickets left but they are pay only.
£18 adults, £13 Oaps, £10 kids.

Theres the Ambrose thats about 50 yards from the ground, pretty sure they show live RL, also the Wheatsheaf which is right next to the ground. Plenty of others within walking distance too. Just remember to be careful where you park at.

shame that I'm on a short break up silloth, would of come to the match as we had a great time last year in barrow,

they will put a decent day up for you, cheap beer and tasty pies

Makes you wonder why Cumbria hasn't been dedicated as a growth area for the RL doesn't it ?

The money wasted on areas such as Paris in the past, for expansionism, shows up the RFL 'mandarins'.

But Workington was in Super League at the same time.

Hopefully this will show The RFL Cumbria deserves a SL Franchise.
