Thats what makes me admire the way he has gone about his job. He doesnt give a toss what other people think he should be doing or what has been done in the past. He just does it his own way and wants to do everything as close to perfect as possible.

The ONLY right thing to do IMO is to play our strongest possible team.

The rugby league season (CC included) is about momentum. The more you play together, the better you get as a unit.

IF, we do start thumping them, it becomes an opportunity to try a few moves against a 'live' defence. Better this than it becomes a struggle and our more experienced players left in the squad have to expend extra energy by doing more than they should have to.

If I were in Maguires shoes, I'd be looking to nil them.

I'm glad he's gone for this squad, shows the impact he wants to make at this club, and at the same time, could make an example out of Sheffield, perhaps wanting to give the fans a trophy for the first time since 2002?

I think complacency has been one of our biggest issues in so-called easy matches in recent years. And I'm not just thinking about Barrow last year, very unnerving though that was. While I don't think there's much danger that Sheffield will do us, I still think it's better to respect the opposition, send our top boys and hope to win with a good score. The last thing we want is to get into a hard scrap that could go either way.

Even the best sides can come unstuck if they take the mickey. Remember Oldham v Wigan in '87.

I look forward to seeing the first team in this outing. Hopefully we can get a bit of momentum going with the forwards getting on the score sheet.

IMO MM will get away with not putting several younger players in the team with most fans because of what he has done selection-wise already this season such as playing O'Carroll and not Feka, giving Goulding a run and already giving Farrell his début. None of those bar Goulding were forced on MM and we both know none of this would have happened under Noble. So if Noble had named this squad he would have rightly got some stick in comparison to MM because Noble would not have done any of the above already.

I still hope Walker gets his début and Farrell gets another run and as I said previously will be disappointed if they don't but MM is handling the squad differently anyway week by week.

I think if you gave MM a choice now of DEFINITELY, 100% CERTAIN, you can win only ONE of the Challenge Cup at Wembley or the Grand Final this season.

Yes. By Nobby's standards we were quite expansive last year. Hoewever, the 2 before that....

I was surprised to hear that the team have actually travelled to Sheffield today (Friday). So no messing about with this one.

Of course I'd love to be champions BUT it would from a personal pov I'd much rather see us win at Wembley!

I've been as a kid and seen them win there but it wouldn't even compare 2 watching them as an adult now!

Plus I'd love 2 bring our trophy home and kick on for another glory period based on a CC win!

Super League vs Challenge Cup is a no contest for me.

It would be nice to win at Wembley but to win the league shows that you have been the best team all year.

Winning the League means you end the year on a high, just winning the challenge cup means you lose in the playoffs which would be a downer. Its a bigger achievement to win the league aswell
