Nothing matches a derby game for me the expectation is massaive and only a semi or a final compares for me.

I'm not undermining it. I'm just saying that you'd have to be a complete tube to say that it doesn't matter what happens in other games so long as you beat Saints twice a year. This line repeatedly gets wheeled out by the local press whenever we sign an overseas player or coach and I have my doubts as to whether this comment has ever been made.

Surely you can tell that Wirewonder is a WUM? Nobody in their right mind would have such warped views. On a side note, who really gives a monkeys how big your own club is? Most people support them as a result of being born into it and having it hammered into them from an early age. You watch you club because it's your town, your team that you love no matter what. It's like your bird still loving you even though you've got a little albert. I watch Wire as I was born there and knew nothing else, I don't give a sh*t how much we've won or haven't won. I'm guessing that most of you would have still gone to watch Wigan in the championship had you gone down a few years back? It's about your love for the club/town nothing to do with trophies or dick measuring. Although that make's it a tad more enjoyable(trophies I mean, I don't measure dicks).

Sorry WireWonder, but Wigan v Wire will never have the same impact on any Wigan fans as a Wigan v Saints derby.

ignore this blert of jizz Wirewonder. hes been prematurely ejaculating his vitriolic bile all over the widnes board for two weeks now. clearly some johnny come lately wire chav who didnt even know warrington had a rugby league team until two years ago. hes said exactly the same stuff on the widnes board that hes said on here, just replaced 'widnes' with 'wigan' pretty much.

I Stand by what i said. Wire/Wigan is THE top RL fixture right now. (and we won the last one)

Wigan/St Helens is obviously a big game but Saints are a spent force.

A spent force that you haven't finished above for many a year, and are sitting behind even as I type despite Saints playing every game away from home, with a new coach and with both international halves missing.

Plus to be a spent force, you need to have actually been a force in the first place. That means winning SL by the way, you know like Wigan/Saints/Bulls/Leeds have done.

The people writing Saints off are very much mistaken, although noticeably it hasn't been Wigan fans but Wire fans that have been doing that. For there to be a huge rivalry IMO there needs to be at least a little amount of respect between the clubs and sets of fans, Wigan and Saints have this, Wigan and wire don't.

Wigan fans everywere have been writing Saints off. Look at your pre-season poll when Wire came out top by a distance when Wigan fans were asked to name the side which would be the biggest threat to your title.

I don't believe St Helens will do anything this season. They may have won a few of late but they've not played anyone. Look what happened when they played one of the big teams,ie Wire,they were soundly beaten.

Just like Wigan were just a few weeks later.
