i like the Blue one and it would look just as good if not better if the blue was in Cherry instead, giving a prominent White V with perhaps a couple of Cherry chevrons on the lower half below the sponsor

It's too similar to the home kit, too much white, not enough contrast, and besides that, the new kit has already been selected/registered why would we use the JJ kit ?

Quite simply keep same home kit or thin out the stripes and for the away very simply the same but blue like the 1989 final top

Anybody know why the replicas of this shirt and away from that year weren't produced by puma, well all the ones I've seen weren't but the players ones were if I remember correctly.

Puma don't actually make the kits. They're made under license by a company called Genesis or something like that anyway.

Does anyone know if a major sponsor will be deterred from joining by one of Pemps' mock ups this year?

I think those (players version) were made by a company called Bulldog.

That season there was an advertising hoarding at the ground saying something along the lines of 'Bulldog Sports: official kit suppliers to Wigan'.

The replicas just said something like 'Official Wigan Merchendise'.

They were branded official yet were made by Ellgren down chapel lane,(as from 1990-93) It appears that Wigan at that time wanted more or total control over the income from the merchanising side.
