Many of the conditioning "guru's" from the states refer to the time that an athlete away from the coaches as the crucial aspect in them maximising potential or not. Whatever is done in the 3 yours contact a day or whatever can easily be undone by the 21 hours they are away from the club.

We need to make an example of Hock, and he needs to be used in his time off to go round junior pro's and highlight the pitfalls of recreational drug use. If he has a brain in his head he will go for this which will aid in his transition and acceptance back into the game in 2012.

Going off his record it is the last thing he will want to do though, ie the right thing.

Really stupid error of judgement when the lad was playing some really good rugby. Sadly though he deserves everything thats coming to him if he's failed the test.

I realy hope we send a strong message out to all the young players coming through and sack him. Got to be the biggest waste of talent for a long time. I think Dwain Chambers was using the game and Cas where using him. You never realy thought a bloke of his age who had never played the game could make it as a pro, do you?

Considering his past and the point he'd never picked up a ball, he came a lot closer than he should have.

No they don't "all" get tested. It's random testing and so that means its quite possible for a player not to be selected for testing for weeks on end.

I thought two players from each side are tested after each game, not the entire team. So had Hock been luckier with the draw we would not have this thread.

I thought they gave the sample before the game? I am sure I saw Keith Senior peeing into a pot on Sky a few months back before the Kick Off

I actually thought that this season he was controlling the brain explosions better than before.

This is a terrible waste of what should have been a great career. I hope today he looks in the mirror and thinks of all the people who he has let down including himself and puts right over the next two years the damage he has caused for himself.

Thats whats even more depressing about this whole sorry story! It's happened slap bang in the middle of his best ever season in a Wigan shirt, a season which has seen him play pretty much every game and a season that has seen him improve his discipline and cut out the silly errors!

Just as his rugby was maturing he's proved his brain still hasn't and has thrown it all away.

A complete and utter waste.
