Thinking about this all day and i have come to a conclusion.

Nevermind where we play and when we play, we play to the best of our ability we will beat Saints. Play it at DW, LSV, Reebok even Langtree Park. For me its only important we win the game. Also we are a better away side than home looking at the results and especially games against Saints over the last 2 years. We won at Saints and Halliwell Jones deservedly. Whilst we lost at home in the play-off and stole a win at Good Friday.

Only sad issue is this keeps popping up and it does not help that they put the QF of the CC in the middle of the football season. When they should have it later on to avoid it. But its the RFL if it does not affect Leeds its not an issue.

It keeps popping up because Whelan hasn't gone yet. Maybe when he goes his replacement will be more reasonable. Until then, the issue will keep arising every time there is a game - and it isn't just the CC; there was a problem with a playoff game two years ago - that falls within the same weekend as a Latics game.

The RFL isn't to blame here. The BBC isn't to blame here. Dave Whelan is the only one to blame here.

Well, Ian Leneghan as well because for the sake of the fans of all the clubs in the quarter finals - none of which yet know when their own games are going to be played thanks to the delay caused by Wigan - he would have just accepted the situation, knowing Whelan will never budge, and agreed a neutral venue, bearing the costs since it is Wigan's home game.

But both games we won so as i said for me its not a massive issue where we play. We have a good deal off DW so its going to get issues occasionally where this happens but some common sense by RFL, DW, IL, BBC and Sky could help sort this out without it becoming an issue.

This game is down as Saturday 12th May 14:30 BBC 1 so the British Broadcasting Corporation aren't giving in and rightly so, because as host broadcasting chief they dictate the day & time of their Quarter Final picks.

Sky have been left with Leigh vs Leeds & Huddersfield vs London.

The BBC and Sky pay the sport money so it isn't up to them to do anything. It is up to Wigan to sort out its own house and if Wigan cannot do that then the RFL should enforce their own operational rules, choose a neutral venue and that is where the game should be played. It is ridiculous that fans of all the quarter final games are unable to plan for their respective matches because Ian Leneghan is arguing about Friday night. Whelan isn't going to budge so Leneghan should just sort out a neutral venue. Fans of all clubs involved have the right to know what is happening and get organised for the game.

Dam you seem desperate not to play at the DW. Me i am easy as nevermind where we play we will beat you if we play as well as we can. After all you can not win at Old Trafford anymore. So the CC is your only real chance of a trophy. Ahh wait is OT available next week.

Play it at the LSV and as been stated it would be a sell out and the atmosphere would be amazing.......don't think the LSV would have a prob with it being used 2 days in a row - the groundsman used to be Man Utd`s groundsman so he is very experienced.

I made the point about 10 pages ago that the fans should embarrass Whelan by offering to clean up the stadium after the match. When it snows fans clear the snow to allow games to be played - so why not do it on this occasion?

This is my thoughts too. The whole situation is a joke and the board should start to seriously consider the idea of building our own stadium. If Saints and Warrington can do it then we certainly can.

The thing is Saints had Knowsley road and Wire had wilderspool to help them with new grounds. We just have a piece of paper that by the sounds of it, its not worth wiping your on

What an absolute farce this is turning out to be,I have just been out for my usual couple of pints and a Leigh supporter (close to the Leigh Admin)came over to me and said that the people at the Leigh Sports Village are going spare.
When the draw was first made the staff at Leigh knowing they had to play Leeds at home thought all they had to do was wait untill later in the day,knowing that all the TV companies had to do was agree between themselves who had what and when.
Now at the end of day two since the draw, Leigh are still being told that they hav'nt to make arrangements to print tickets intill this issue is resolved.
So who are the people telling Leigh they can't do a thing until it is resolved,the whole thing stinks. Leigh drew Leeds,they should be allowed to do what they want and not have to play second fiddle to anyone.
But the big boys and TV money will win in the end.

This is really bad planning by the RFL they are responsible for setting the quarter final dates. People in Red Hall don,t have a clue they should have known that Wigan would be a strong bet to get to a quarter final and cross checked the fixture dates with Wigan Athletic which were known August last year.

Then the RFL make the quarter final draw 10 days before the first quarter final game, so basically the RFL have forced Wigan into breach of operational rules. This will happen every year until..............the penny drops.

Why the hell should the RFL check with Wigan Athletic what their fixtures are? How are the RFL meant to compile a fixture list to suit every club in SL and every club that shares a ground? This is Wigan's fault pure and simple for getting into this situation in the first place where they are at the beck and call of Dave Whelan. Trying to blame the RFL and BBC is just a smokescreen for where the blame really lies.

I wonder if all these people with opinions will be back to congratulate us when we lift the cup?
