Can see Karmichael wanting a big chunk of the cap then flying off back to Oz after a year or two.

Step backwards if that is the case. Sooner have Myler or a true HB who Tomkins can learn from. restoring and working the cap is one thing IL has worked on, don't wanna undo one of the good things he's done for the club.

Real shame if true, it seems Noble has listened to the (imo) unfair crap told about Goulding. I was quite exited he had become a better player after giving Pryce walk-ins against Warrington U6's

and thought he could be doing that more often with more than the three games in a row Noble usually gives him. Have a feeling that if true Gleeson will be absolute crap like he is atm, we will all complain after 3 games and Goulding will score a hattrick against us next time we play him

Dobson is contracted, but I would love to see him back. Considering-age, cap, playing in SL attitude, he's probably my first pick to play 7 for us.

I think a Riddell/Leuluai combination at hooker could potentially be fantastic.

We have zero chance of winning anything with Leuluai at 7. Zero.

Dobson is outstanding and a real effort player that took pride in the Wigan shirt. Unfortunatly he's under contract at a good club and we won't get him out of there anytime soon.

Orford would be my first choice as he's a great leader aswell as a cracking player.

Tomkins will be 7, new signings of a World class 6 and a Prop before the season ends

Lockyer @ 6 and Hunt @ 7 - with Tomkins learning off them both.

Ironic isn't it when people criticise Wigan for letting go so much 'outstanding British talent' when in reality the only player most fans really wanted to keep is an Australian.

With a little more recruitment, Hull Kr could well be a threat for the trophies by building a team around him.

I'll be very disappointed if we allow Goulding to leave. There's really no reason to get rid, when we have the likes of Phelps at our club, who have already reached their potential.

Karmichael Hunt, I reckon there's more chance us signing Gene Hunt.

He's a decent player but vastly over-rated and with Roberts and Richards on long term deals along with the emergance of Ainscough we don't need a fullback and he isn't an out and out halfback.

He'd also be on a wedge and looks to be abit of a tit.

why sign a full back,we need a class stand off and a couple of class props.

Our back 3 is pretty much settled and give Roberts a decent centre and we will have near enough the best back 3 in the league

Hunt is not a half back and if he was going to convert he would need a Lockyer or Orford next to him

Can we really afford a world class 6, and one if not 2 class props? Can't see us getting Hunt under the cap also.

If Tony Smith has decided he is willing to swap Gleeson for Goulding who do we trust to have the eye for the better deal, Tony Smith or Brian Noble?

Signing Gleeson and letting Goulding leave has short termism written all over it. No doubt Gleeson would improve the side somewhat (but by how much is debatable IMO) and it may be enough to keep Noble in his job which is perhaps what this is all about.

True and i think Smith will get something out of Goulding, but Noble obviously isn't managing too. So if Goulding staying here means he'll never improve, may as well trade him for Gleeson who may do a job for 2 season and look for a replacement after.

If Goulding goes and improves then good for him, he does have potential..just we're struggling to tap into it.

If Gleeson is here for 2 seasons, then we would probably need 2 centres that year if Carmont goes then aswell. I hope Noble and Lenegan have thought this through, if it does come off.
