It shouldn't be happening and whoever is throwing things should be banned but a letter needs to be put out to all superleague players in regards to their actions in tense games like these.

Wellens can do what he likes in terms of celebrating the win and fair play to him but he shouldn't be throwing the ball into the crowd. If a footballer went over to the home section of fans in a big derby and booted the ball at the crowd there would be a riot.

They're idiots and they need banning but the players must show some commen sense aswell.

Players celebrate like that all the time. Most of the time people don't throw beer at them.

Totlly shocking behaviour which if not stamped out, will unfortunatley change the face of our game forever. There must have been 7 things (pints, bottles, etc ) thrown onto the pitch. Makes us look like thugs. I agree i hope the are caught on cctv and can be banned for life.

I for one appreciate the difference in the rules between footbal and the rugby with respect to fans. If there is many more repeats of this then i could see a time in the near future where beers is banned from the terraces. I hope this is not the case. I didnt see what hit graham, but presume it was a coin.

Not an excuse it's a statement and he's spot on. If you stand there goading 5000 people you will get one or two idiots who feel the need to react. We don't have any huge problem with idiots like this unfortunately it is just a reflection of today's modern society. People like this aren't welcome in Rugby League and hopefully they will be traced and dealt with.

Turn the table and lets say wigan won it in the last minute at the saints end and a wigan player goaded the fans.... I'm pretty sure the outcome would be the same. every club has idiots like this and i hope the people responsible are caught and made an example of. I'm in no way condoning it, but if you goad fans like that then something is bound to happen.

I think the 'irony' stems from everyone ignoring everything Wire do on the pitch to tell us how bad our fans are, 95% of the time Wiganers yet professing how angelic and blameless they are in every other instance.

I'm not here to laud it up, most Wigan fans are good people just like most Wire fans are good people just like most rugby fans are good people.

Find them, ban them, don't label the club because a few wannabe thugs can't control their tempers and stop with all the petty name calling. Banter is banter and as long as it's good natured it's great fun but people are starting to take things a little bit too seriously.

I'm pretty sure it wouldn't - I don't remember it happening at KR but you don't have to think back too far for an example of Wigan fans throwing objects at players . . . .

1. It's easy enough to say you won't throw anything when your sitting at home.
2. Not all fans would restrain themselves so you can't speak on behalf if all wire fans

spot on.
